The Wren Vessel is Wren’s first integrated-bracelet sports watch and a clear break from the brand’s dive-watch designs. It has a 39 mm square case, a 10.6 mm thickness, a 904L stainless steel construction, 70 m water resistance, and a Sellita SW300-1 automatic movement. It launched in October 2026 in two dial variants, silver sunray and meteorite, with 150 pieces per variant. Launch prices were reported at US$2,900 for the sunray and US$3,400 for the meteorite. Those figures come from launch-period coverage, so confirm them on a current seller page before buying.
What the Wren Vessel is
Hodinkee reports that the Vessel is Wren’s first non-diver. It was designed by Max Resnick under founder Craig Karger’s direction. TanTan Wang, writing for Hodinkee in its October 8, 2026 hands-on, puts the shift this way: “A major pivot away from vintage-inspired dive watches brings a futuristic take on the steel sports watch.” The contrast the coverage keeps returning to is between an angular, futuristic case and a conventional Swiss automatic movement inside it.
Case and dimensions
The launch coverage describes a square case measuring 39 mm by 39 mm and 10.6 mm thick. Hodinkee and Time+Tide both give these dimensions. The case is built from 904L stainless steel, which is what Hodinkee, Time+Tide and the main narrative of SJX Watches’ hands-on all report.
One caveat applies. The key-facts box in SJX’s hands-on lists ceramic and titanium as materials, which contradicts that report’s own text and the other two publications. Treat 904L steel as the reported material and disregard the box entry until Wren confirms its specifications.

Crystal and bracelet
Faceted sapphire crystal
The crystal is faceted sapphire. Hodinkee and Time+Tide both describe external and underside geometry that match each other, which the brand is reported to have designed to reduce visual distortion of the dial. The faceting is the most unusual construction detail in the reports, and the one most worth seeing in person before purchase.
Integrated 904L bracelet
The bracelet is 904L steel and is designed to look integrated with the case. Hodinkee and Time+Tide both report a proprietary quick-release mechanism. Time+Tide adds that the bracelet has built-in micro-adjustment, so sizing does not depend on removing links alone.

Optional rubber strap
An optional rubber strap is reported. Time+Tide lists it at US$195 or £175 extra. It changes the watch from a steel bracelet piece to a more casual wearing style. The reports do not evaluate comfort or fit, and this article does not either.
Movement and specifications
The movement is an automatic Sellita SW300-1, reported by all three publications. It runs at 4 Hz, which is 28,800 vibrations per hour, and has a 56-hour power reserve. The table below consolidates the reported specifications and shows which publication gave each one.

Dial variants, quantities and launch prices
Two dials launched: silver sunray and meteorite. Each variant is limited to 150 pieces, according to Hodinkee, Time+Tide and SJX. The meteorite dial is the only material difference the reports highlight. The core dimensions and movement are reported as the same across both.

The meteorite version is US$500 more than the sunray in dollars. The pound figures are reported only by Time+Tide, so Hodinkee’s and SJX’s sterling prices are not established.

Availability at launch
Hodinkee reports that pre-sale began on October 8, 2026, with delivery scheduled for the first quarter of 2027. Time+Tide reports that pre-orders run through its own shop and its Discovery Studios locations. SJX says the watch is sold direct from Wren. Those are launch-period statements. They do not show current stock, and the reports do not give a current checkout price, tax treatment or delivery estimate.

- Confirm whether the listing is a pre-order and what delivery date it gives. The reported schedule is Q1 2027 for delivery.
- Check the case material in the seller’s specifications. Use 904L steel as the reported material, and treat the ceramic and titanium entry in one report as an error.
- If you want the rubber strap, confirm its price at the point of sale. The US$195 and £175 figures are launch-period reports from Time+Tide.
The Vessel is a limited, pre-order sports watch with a reported 904L steel integrated bracelet, a Sellita SW300-1 movement and two dial options. The launch figures are consistent across the three hands-on reports, apart from the single material entry noted above.
