The Bremont Supermarine Full Ceramic Deep Blue is a 250-piece, 43mm dive watch with a blue ceramic case, a stated water resistance of 500 metres, a 56-hour automatic movement and a UK price of £6,450 for the rubber-and-leather configuration. The “Royal Marine-approved” label in the launch headline rests on a personal connection, not a formal endorsement: Bremont’s ambassador Aldo Kane, a former Royal Marine, tested the watch in Iceland. The available sources do not show that the Royal Marines, as an institution, approved or endorsed the watch.

Strap configurations
Bremont lists three strap configurations, each with its own reference number as reported by Fratello.
| Strap | Reference |
|---|---|
| Rubber-and-leather | SM43-DT-BLCER-BK-L-S |
| Black rubber | SM43-DT-BLCER-BK-R-S |
| NATO-style | SM43-DT-BLCER-BK-N-S |
Because the 250-piece run is limited, confirm which configuration is available before you commit to a strap choice.
The Royal Marine connection
The “Royal Marine-approved” phrasing in the launch headline comes from the link between Bremont and Aldo Kane. Bremont identifies Kane as its ambassador and a former Royal Marine. Both Bremont and Fratello report that he tested the Deep Blue in Iceland.
That is a documented personal connection and a field test by a former Royal Marine. It is not, on the evidence available, a formal approval from the Royal Marines. No statement from the Royal Marines as an institution, and no military or regulator quote, appears in the sources reviewed. Read the headline as shorthand for Kane’s involvement, not as an institutional certification.
Design and the ocean-and-ice concept
Bremont describes the Deep Blue colourway as inspired by the meeting point of ocean and ice. The blue ceramic case and bezel insert contrast with the black wave-effect dial. The case back carries an ocean map based on the Spilhaus ocean-centred projection. These design descriptions come from Bremont.
Bremont describes ceramic as lightweight and highly scratch-resistant, and acknowledges that making it requires precision. According to Bremont’s description of its process, the ceramic powder is moulded and sintered at 1,450°C, and the case shrinks by 23% in that process. These are manufacturer-reported production details; no independent material testing of them was found in the sources reviewed.
The Iceland field test
Bremont reports that Kane took the watch to Iceland, where he dived in freezing glacial lakes and crossed ice fields. Fratello likewise reports the Iceland trip, and adds that Kane had earlier tested the Jungle Green and Tactical Black versions in jungle environments. Treat this as an expedition account from the brand and its launch coverage, not as independent laboratory certification.

“Having already tested the Full Ceramic in the jungle, I knew how capable the Supermarine platform was. Iceland presented a completely different challenge, taking us from extreme cold-water dives to exposed glacier climbs and high into the mountains in some fairly extreme weather.”
This is Kane’s statement as published by Bremont, not an independently verified interview transcript.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How it differs from the existing Full Ceramic
The Deep Blue is presented as a colourway of the Supermarine Full Ceramic. The distinguishing features Bremont names are the blue ceramic case and bezel insert, the ocean-and-ice concept, the ocean map on the caseback, and the blue-emission lume. The sources reviewed do not provide a side-by-side specification table against earlier Full Ceramic references, so if you are weighing it against an existing model, compare the two versions’ case, movement and strap details on Bremont’s own product pages.

Diving rating: what 500 metres means here
Bremont lists 50 ATM / 500 metres of water resistance and a helium escape valve. That is the manufacturer’s stated rating. The sources reviewed do not say the watch was independently tested to a named protocol, and a water-resistance rating does not establish suitability for every form of diving. Expedition-style cold-water use, as described in the Iceland account, is a field test rather than a certification.
How it compares with other ceramic dive watches
Fratello names two comparison points: the 41mm Tudor Black Bay Ceramic and a 43mm black ceramic Longines Hydroconquest. The configurations differ, so the prices below are not a like-for-like value comparison.
| Model | Case size | Case construction | Water resistance | Movement and reserve | Reported price (Fratello, 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bremont Supermarine Full Ceramic Deep Blue | 43mm | Blue ceramic, titanium inner case | 50 ATM / 500m (Bremont) | Automatic BB64AH, 56 hours | €7,750 / US$7,400 / £6,450 |
| Tudor Black Bay Ceramic | 41mm | Ceramic (other construction details not stated) | Not stated in sources reviewed | Not stated in sources reviewed | €7,110 on bracelet; €5,630 on leather-and-rubber strap |
| Longines Hydroconquest (black ceramic) | 43mm | Black ceramic (other construction details not stated) | Not stated in sources reviewed | Not stated in sources reviewed | €4,600 |
Case size, construction, water-resistance rating, movement, strap or bracelet configuration, price and availability are the fair points of comparison. Price alone does not establish equivalent value, and comparison prices should be rechecked against current equivalent configurations.
Checks before you buy
- Confirm the strap reference you want (L, R or N suffix) and that it is the configuration you are being quoted.
- Check the currency and territory of the price, and whether it includes VAT or local taxes.
- Confirm current stock with Bremont or an authorised retailer, since the 250-piece run is limited.
- Ask for the warranty and service terms for the blue ceramic model directly from the seller.
Our article does not establish current stock or delivery times beyond the single UK page check described above.
