The Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 35 mm is the compact automatic PRX: a 35 mm steel watch with an integrated bracelet, date, sapphire crystal and a stated 80-hour power reserve. It suits buyers who want the PRX’s angular, integrated-bracelet look in a smaller case and prefer a mechanical automatic movement. The 35 mm size is genuinely compact, though, and the automatic is thicker than the 35 mm quartz version, so the best way to judge its wrist presence is to try it on if possible.
Which PRX 35 is this?
“PRX 35” can mean either an automatic or a quartz watch. This guide covers the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 35 mm, the automatic model. The blue version documented on Tissot’s US site is reference T137.207.11.041.00. Check the reference before buying: listings can mix movement types, sizes and dial variants.
Tissot’s blue listing gives this automatic a 35 mm case and 10.93 mm thickness. Fratello’s September 2023 review measured 11.3 mm for its reviewed automatic examples. Those are different published measurements; neither should be substituted for the other as a universal figure.

Is the PRX 35 mm too small?
It is a small, vintage-feeling watch rather than a scaled-down 40 mm with the same wrist presence. Fratello reviewer Thomas Van Straaten described the automatic 35 mm as comfortable, crediting its compact case, integrated bracelet and weight. On his 17 cm wrist, he found the 40 mm somewhat overpowering and the 35 mm notably small. That is one wearer’s experience, not a fit rule: he called the choice a matter of taste.
If you want an understated watch or prefer compact cases, the 35 mm may be appealing. If you want the PRX to occupy more visual space on the wrist, compare it directly with the 40 mm. Wrist circumference alone cannot settle the question; case shape, the integrated bracelet and your preferred amount of wrist coverage matter too.

How does the automatic compare with the quartz PRX 35?
The Powermatic 80 is mechanical and automatic, with an 80-hour power reserve stated by Tissot. Fratello’s comparison of its referenced 35 mm models gives the automatic a thickness of 11.3 mm and the quartz a thickness of 9.6 mm. That comparison applies to the models in that review, not necessarily every PRX variant. Tissot’s official blue automatic listing, separately, states 10.93 mm.
Choose based on the movement you want and how each watch feels on your wrist. The automatic’s case is thicker in Fratello’s comparison. The reviewed sources do not establish a basis for comparing accuracy, servicing costs or durability, so those should not be inferred from the movement type alone.

Tissot describes the steel bracelet as interchangeable and quick-release, and its product page lists compatible 35 mm synthetic and leather strap options. Fratello’s reviewer found the release pins fiddly to reach because of the caseback and end-link geometry. The system supports strap changes, but frequent swaps may be less convenient than the quick-release label suggests.
