The hands-on impressions below are those of Fratello guest author Vincent Deschamps, whose article was published June 21, 2022; specifications for the TPS Four are from Roue’s product listing.
What makes the Roue TPS distinctive?
Roue says “TPS” refers to Tachymeter and Pulsometer, the two scales around the dial. The collection draws on 1960s racing culture and pays tribute to the Porsche 910, which Roue says won the Nürburgring 1000-kilometer race in 1967. An embossed drawing of the car’s front appears on the screw-back case. These are brand descriptions of the design and its inspiration, rather than claims about the watch’s performance.
The TPS Four listing describes a black-and-silver, triple-layer dial with printed Swiss Super-Luminova. Its tachymeter and pulsometer scales give the dial much of its instrument-panel character. Deschamps’s June 2022 Fratello article covers a blue variant instead: he noted its matte blue dial, yellow accents, layered construction, and the visual character of the outer scales. His comments are observations about that version, not a description of the TPS Four’s colorway.
Roue says each version is an individually numbered limited edition of 1,000 pieces. That is the stated edition size, not an indication of how many remain available.

How the Seiko VK63 works—and what the subdials show
The TPS Four uses the Japanese Seiko VK63, which Roue describes as a hybrid meca-quartz chronograph. As Worn & Wound explained in its November 18, 2019 launch coverage, quartz handles timekeeping while the chronograph mechanism is mechanical, giving the chronograph pushers a mechanical actuation feel.
On the TPS Four, the subdials are arranged as follows:
- Left: chronograph minutes.
- Center: running seconds.
- Right: AM/PM indication.
Fratello describes the reviewed configuration as having a 60-minute chronograph counter and no date. Deschamps found the 24-hour indication less useful than a 12-hour chronograph counter might have been. That is his personal preference; the available descriptions do not establish it as a general drawback or the result of comparative testing.

Case dimensions, crystal, and wrist impressions
Roue lists the TPS Four’s case as brushed 316L stainless steel, with a fixed steel bezel and screw-back case. Its stated dimensions are:

|---|---|
| Case diameter | 40 mm |
| Thickness | 13.4 mm |
| Lug distance | 48 mm |
| Crystal | Double-domed K1 mineral glass, sapphire-coated externally and anti-reflective internally |
Those dimensions also match the figures reported by Deschamps for the blue version. He said the proportions give the watch wrist presence, while describing it as light and comfortable despite its size. Those are his impressions, not a fit guarantee; wrist shape and strap adjustment affect how a watch wears.
Straps and water-use limits
The TPS Four listing includes a black perforated leather “Driver” strap and a black silicone “Sports” strap, both with quick-release systems, plus a brushed steel pin buckle. The listing does not specify replacement-strap compatibility dimensions.

Roue states a 50-meter pressure-resistance grade, but explicitly says the watch is not suitable for swimming. Treat that warning as the practical limit: the number alone should not be read as permission to swim with the TPS.
Price and availability context
Published prices are historical, not verified current pricing. Worn & Wound reported a $290 launch price in November 2019; Fratello cited an approximate price of €285 in June 2022. Check Roue’s TPS Four product page for current details and availability rather than treating either older figure as today’s price.

Who the TPS may suit
The TPS’s appeal is primarily its racing-inspired design and chronograph experience: layered dial construction, two peripheral measurement scales, and a meca-quartz movement. The 40 mm diameter and 48 mm lug distance offer concrete dimensions to compare with a watch that already fits you; Deschamps’s favorable comfort impression may be useful context, but cannot predict another wearer’s fit.

For practical ownership, weigh the no-date layout and 24-hour subdial against how you expect to use the chronograph, and keep Roue’s swimming warning in mind. The TPS Four’s two included straps provide leather and silicone options without changing the watch’s stated specifications.
Manuals and bracelet adjustments
Roue’s manuals page provides instructions for adjusting metal bracelet links on CHR and TPS watches. It advises following the arrows on the links when removing pins and recommends a professional technician if you are uncomfortable doing the adjustment. This guidance does not mean the TPS Four listing includes a metal bracelet; it specifies leather and silicone straps.
