Two outlets reported on October 12, 2026, that the name “MARQ Gen 3” appears on three Spanish-language Garmin support pages. That is evidence of a reported support-page listing—not confirmation of a launch, specifications, or release date.
What was reportedly found on Garmin’s support pages?
Gadgets & Wearables and iDevice each reported that “MARQ Gen 3” appears in three Spanish-language Garmin support references. The reports describe an Explore compatibility page and support articles about connecting accessories and adding weather locations. iDevice says the Explore list places the name alongside the original MARQ series and MARQ Gen 2, while Garmin’s English support pages still list Gen 2 as the latest generation. Gadgets & Wearables’ report and iDevice’s report are secondary accounts; the underlying Spanish pages were not independently inspected for this coverage.

Does this confirm a new Garmin flagship launch?
No. A product name appearing in support material can indicate that Garmin’s systems are being prepared for a device, but it does not establish that Garmin has formally unveiled it or that it is available to buy. Garmin had not announced MARQ Gen 3 in the reports, and the company’s newsroom announcements reviewed through October 12, 2026, do not announce it. Garmin’s newsroom is the primary place to check for an official launch statement.

Garmin’s official developer compatibility list identifies MARQ (Gen 2) devices. Its 2025 annual report describes MARQ as a collection of luxury tool watches. Those sources confirm the existing family, not a third generation.

What is known—and what is not?

- Reported: “MARQ Gen 3” appeared on three Spanish-language Garmin support pages, according to two outlets.
- Not announced: Garmin had not formally announced the generation in the cited coverage.
- Unknown: The watch’s configuration, capabilities, cost, and launch timing.
Recent Garmin launches are useful only as market context, not as clues to Gen 3 specifications. Garmin announced the multisport fēnix 9 and fēnix 9 Pro on August 25, 2026, with U.S. starting prices of $999.99 and $1,099.99, respectively. It announced the golf-focused Approach S72 on October 6, 2026, with a U.S. suggested starting price of $799.99. Neither announcement confirms or predicts a MARQ release. Garmin’s fēnix 9 announcement and Approach S72 announcement provide the official details.

Should you buy a Garmin watch now or wait?
Base the decision on the watch you need today, rather than treating the support-page report as a promise of an imminent launch. If you want a luxury tool watch, the documented MARQ generation in Garmin’s compatibility material is Gen 2; the report does not establish when a successor might arrive. For general multisport or golf, compare currently announced products against your needs and budget, keeping their documented features separate from anything rumored about MARQ Gen 3.
