What Helvetus makes—and what “molded to the reference” means
Helvetus describes itself as an independent aftermarket strap company, not a watchmaker and not affiliated with the watch brands whose models appear in its compatibility listings. Its pitch is that a model-specific strap accounts for the case’s shape at the lugs, rather than relying on lug width alone. A closer-fitting end may create a more integrated appearance, but the claim should be understood as product positioning, not proof that a strap is OEM or endorsed by the watch manufacturer.

How to check whether a strap fits your watch
Do not choose by brand or collection name alone. Helvetus says buyers should check the product page or its Strap Finder for the precise watch, and its FAQ describes fit as matching both lug width and curved case profile. A common width such as 20, 22, or 24 mm is only one part of the fit; it does not establish that a shaped strap end follows your case.

- Identify the exact watch. Confirm its reference and case generation. Closely related models can have different case geometry.
- Check the listing’s compatibility statement. Look for your precise reference, then compare the strap’s end shape with the case profile shown for that product.
- Verify the buckle or clasp separately. Helvetus says many, but not all, straps work with original deployant or pin buckles. Do not assume compatibility from the watch model alone.
- Check what comes in the package. Helvetus says its rubber straps include model-specific spring bars; confirm the specific listing before purchasing separate parts.
- Review the current return terms before ordering. Fit and return conditions are separate questions, and the company’s stated policy may change.

Start with geometry, then decide on material. A reference-specific shaped strap is the option to investigate when you want an end designed for your watch’s case profile. The exact fit still depends on the individual product listing and your watch reference.

Helvetus says its FKM rubber straps have a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. Its FAQ states a one-year warranty for leather, nylon, and steel products. These are the company’s stated terms; the available sources do not include independent materials testing or durability comparisons.
