Hermès introduced the Arceau Duc Attelé in 2024 as a numbered limited-edition grand complication in 43 mm titanium or rose gold. Its centerpiece is a triple-axis tourbillon paired with a minute repeater that chimes hours, quarters and minutes. The Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH) lists 24 examples in each material and an indicative price of CHF 378,000; neither that figure nor the edition profile confirms present-day stock or a current retail quote.
What is the Hermès Arceau Duc Attelé?
The Arceau Duc Attelé is a mechanical watch that brings together a central triple-axis tourbillon and a minute repeater. Hermès presents it as a limited, numbered composition: haute horlogerie complications are framed with details drawn from the house’s equestrian identity.

The 43 mm case is offered in titanium or rose gold. The dial’s curved, off-center hour circle has inclined Arabic numerals and claw-shaped hands. Beneath a sapphire dome, the tourbillon is the visual focal point; blue hands coordinate with the power-reserve display at the dial’s base. A sapphire-crystal bridge reveals the repeater mechanism.
How does the triple-axis tourbillon work?
A tourbillon places the regulating parts of a watch inside a rotating cage. In the Arceau Duc Attelé, three nested cages turn around different axes and at three different rates: one rotation takes 300 seconds, one 60 seconds and one 25 seconds, according to Hermès. Rather than completing a revolution at the same pace, the cages’ changing orientations make the mechanism a prominent moving display beneath the dome.

The tourbillon is part of the H1926, Hermès’ manually wound manufacture movement. Hermès specifies a 5 Hz balance frequency and a 48-hour power reserve. The movement can be seen through the sapphire caseback.
How does the minute repeater sound?
A minute repeater uses hammers to strike a gong and translate the time into chimes. Here, two hammers shaped in profile like horses strike the elongated arms of a hardened-steel gong that Hermès describes as tuning-fork-like. The repeater sounds the hours, then the quarters, then the remaining minutes.
On the titanium model, striped guilloché decoration evokes sound waves. The visible hammers and gong make the striking mechanism part of the watch’s display as well as its acoustics.
How do the design details connect to Hermès’ equestrian identity?
The name Duc Attelé refers to a carriage drawn by horses, and the movement’s gears take inspiration from carriage wheels. The horse-profile repeater hammers extend that idea into the striking mechanism. These are not merely exterior motifs: the carriage reference informs the presentation of the movement itself.

Hermès’ official product page calls the design “Haute Horlogerie and equestrian emblems meet and mingle.” That is the brand’s description of its own product, rather than an independent assessment.

| Rose gold | 24 examples (FHH model profile, accessed 2026) | Hermès offers a 43 mm rose-gold case. |
The sources describe the same movement specifications for the watch but do not establish a performance difference between the materials. The FHH profile provides titanium case details; those measurements should not be assumed to apply to the rose-gold version.
How much does the Hermès Arceau Duc Attelé cost?
The FHH profile lists CHF 378,000 as an indicative price. It is an undated profile accessed in 2026, not a confirmed current Hermès price, a regional retail quote or evidence of a completed sale. The consulted official Hermès product page does not confirm current pricing or stock. For a present-day purchase inquiry, ask Hermès or an authorized retailer for current terms.
