What’s new in the Hermès Cape Cod watch collection?
The Cape Cod dates to 1991. Hermès says designer Henri d’Origny drew the original design freehand, reworking the Chaîne d’Ancre anchor-chain link into a square silhouette set within a rectangle. In 1998, Martin Margiela revealed the collection’s double-tour strap, which wraps twice around the wrist. Hermès’ collection page provides this history.
For 2026, separate reports describe two additions with contrasting aims. T3 reported seven mini versions in February; WatchTime and Fratello covered a titanium model later in the year. The available reporting does not establish that Hermès announced them together. The mini is a small quartz watch with several dial and case treatments, while the titanium model is an automatic with a larger case, rubber-strap options and substantially higher water resistance.
How small is the Cape Cod mini?
T3’s February 23, 2026 report gives the mini’s case dimensions as 27 × 20 mm and says Hermès introduced seven versions. That makes it the more compact choice of these two reported additions; the titanium model is described as 41 mm. The mini’s small dimensions and quartz movement also distinguish it from the larger automatic, beyond their different materials and styling.

Mini materials, dials and straps
T3 describes steel versions with argenté, étoupe or ardoise dials, including an option with a diamond-set bezel. It also reports yellow-gold versions and a Rouge H option. Reported straps are calfskin or goatskin. These details come from T3’s launch coverage; a dedicated Hermès mini product page is not established here. Check Hermès’ current listings for the precise combination of case, dial, bezel and strap available in your market.
Movement and water resistance
T3 reports a Swiss quartz movement and 3-bar water resistance for the mini. Those specifications should not be confused with the titanium model’s automatic movement and 10-bar rating. A water-resistance rating is a model specification, not a claim that every Cape Cod is suitable for the same activities.

What is different about the Cape Cod titanium?
WatchTime’s August 16, 2026 coverage describes a titanium Cape Cod with satin-brushed and bead-blasted finishes, a black dial, orange seconds hand, date at six, and an H1912 manufacture movement. It reports rubber straps in several colors and 10-bar water resistance. Fratello’s July 12, 2026 article adds dimensions and further detail: 33 mm case width, 46.15 mm lug-to-lug, 10.36 mm thickness and a sapphire crystal. WatchTime calls it 41 mm; that figure and the more detailed dimensions are reported descriptions, so check the exact reference rather than treating them as directly interchangeable measurements.
Movement and power reserve
The titanium model is described as automatic, with an H1912 movement and a date display. Its reported power reserve is not consistent across available listings: Fratello gives 45 hours, while Hermès’ US product listing describes approximately 50 hours. The precise reference and current official specification should be checked before relying on one figure. Hermès’ US listing also gives a 33 mm case width and 10-bar water resistance.

WatchTime describes a black dial with an orange seconds hand and a date at six. Fratello reports rubber straps in black, Bleu Abysse, orange or Jaune de Naples. Strap colors and configurations may depend on the exact reference and local availability; the coverage does not establish that every dial and strap combination can be ordered in every market.

How much does the new Cape Cod cost?
Fratello lists the titanium model at €6,150 in euros, US$7,900 in the United States and £6,340 in the United Kingdom. Hermès’ US product listing also displays $7,900 for a titanium Cape Cod configuration. These are reported or displayed prices, not a guarantee of current stock or pricing. T3’s mini launch report does not state a price, so there is no substantiated mini price to compare here.
For context, Hermès’ US page for a steel 41 mm quartz Cape Cod configuration displayed a price of $4,150 when accessed. That page describes a 33 mm case width, sapphire crystal, opaline silvered dial, Swiss-made quartz movement, date, and 3-bar water resistance. Its shown configuration has a black Barenia calfskin strap; Hermès notes that leather appearance varies naturally. This is a separate configuration, not a price for either reported 2026 addition.
