The redesign draws on the city’s architecture, landscapes and coastline, while the store continues to offer watches alongside the house’s other collections.
Where is the Hermès Melbourne boutique?
The boutique is at 71 Collins Street, on the corner of Exhibition Street, in a heritage-listed building. Hermès announced the reopening on 8 August 2024; the house later described the property as listed on Victoria’s heritage register.
For a current visit, Hermès lists the store at this address and gives the phone number +61 3 9654 5571. Its listed hours are:

What changed in the renovated store?
Hermès describes the interior as bespoke to Melbourne, taking inspiration from the city’s European architecture, surrounding landscapes and coastline. The design pairs arched windows that bring in natural light with a transitional entrance, Grecques lights and a Faubourg mosaic.
Inside, the house’s description highlights a green environment with leaf motifs and warmer floral colours upstairs. The store presents collections including men’s and women’s silks, fashion jewellery and perfume. Hermès has not published the renovation cost, floor area, project architect or construction dates in the cited announcements.

What was in the opening window display?
The reopening display, titled The Faubourg Enchantery, was created by French artist Hubert Crabières. Hermès said it combined photographs printed on moving fabric with the house’s annual theme, the artist’s memories and postcards of Melbourne. The display was part of the 2024 opening, not a claim about what is currently in the windows.
Why did the reopening matter to watch fans?
Time+Tide Watches’ Borna Bošnjak reported attending the curtain reveal on Wednesday morning and noted that the boutique displayed Hermès watches as well as other products. That observation places the reopening in a watch-retail context: the Collins Street store is not only a destination for the house’s fashion and leather goods, but also a place to see its timepieces in person.

What was the Hermès Parade scarf announcement?
Alongside the reopening, Hermès announced a limited-edition scarf called Hermès Parade, illustrated by Jonathan Burton. The house said it would be sold exclusively at the Collins Street boutique, with proceeds directed to Visionary Images, a local nonprofit. That was a 2024 announcement and does not establish that the scarf is still available.
