Its 44 mm case, 51 mm lug-to-lug span and 14.75 mm thickness make it a substantial wrist presence; its strongest draws are distinctive styling, clear dial design and a grippy timing bezel. The crown position is the main usability compromise, and any used example needs an individual condition check before water use.
What the Hexa K500 is—and what it is not
This review concerns the Hexa K500 Premier Edition, a mechanical dive watch reviewed in 2013. It is not the Noise ColorFit Hexa smartwatch, a separate product with a similar name. Noise’s ColorFit Hexa product page describes that smartwatch, not the K500.
The K500 has an unusual, purposeful design rather than the familiar proportions of a restrained everyday diver. Period reviews by OceanicTime, WristwatchReview and Worn & Wound describe its bold appearance and substantial construction. Those reviews are historical assessments, not a current hands-on test.

#1 Best Overall
- Solar powered quartz movement helps reduce frequent battery replacement.
- 300M water resistant design supports swimming, snorkeling, diving, and water sports.
- Luminous hands and markers improve readability in dark or low-light conditions.
- Durable case and mineral glass are built for outdoor and everyday wear.
- WATCH SIZE & WRIST FIT: Features a 45.8 mm (1.80 in) case diameter and a 51.4 mm (2.02 in) lug-to-lug length. The adjustable 24 mm silicone strap accommodates wrists up to 230 mm (9.1 in). Measure your wrist and check the case dimensions before ordering, especially if you have a smaller wrist.
How it wears: big, thick and unmistakable
The dimensions are the first practical question for a prospective owner. At 44 mm wide, 51 mm from lug to lug and 14.75 mm thick, the K500 is not a compact diver. Its angular case gives it a more assertive look than the measurements alone suggest, and the thickness is worth considering if a watch must slide beneath a close-fitting cuff.
Fit is personal: wrist shape, the way the case sits and the chosen strap all matter. If possible, try the K500 on before buying. The distinctive case and crown arrangement are part of its appeal, but they are not a substitute for checking how the watch actually sits on your wrist.
The upper-left crown: the defining trade-off
The crown sits at roughly 10 o’clock rather than the more familiar 3 o’clock position. That choice is central to the K500’s identity. Worn & Wound reviewer Zach Weiss called it a bold decision and noted that it is away from the part of the watch that might dig into the hand. In use, however, reviewers also found the crown and its guard awkward to reach for winding or setting.
- Potential benefit: the crown is less likely to press into the back of the hand in the way a conventional side crown can.
- Trade-off: the integrated guard and position can make access fiddly, especially when setting or hand-winding.
The NE15 / 6R15 is described as automatic, hand-windable and hacking, meaning the seconds hand can stop when the crown is pulled to set the time. OceanicTime and the period Hexa announcement also describe six-position adjustment; that is an attributed specification, not an independently measured finding in these reviews.

Dial, lume and bezel
OceanicTime praised the dial’s clarity and minimal presentation, while reviewers described the lume as bright. These are subjective assessments from period reviews, not laboratory measurements. The overall impression is of a dial intended to remain easy to read without adding decorative clutter.

With a case diameter of 45.8mm, strapbold dial design, 24mm flexible silicone watch, and weighing 198 grams, this men's diving watch provides a strong presence on the wrist, offering both durability and a sense of style for daily wear.
The unidirectional bezel is a substantial part of the watch’s tool-watch character. OceanicTime lists 60 clicks, and both OceanicTime and Worn & Wound describe a grippy bezel that is straightforward to operate. A unidirectional elapsed-time bezel can help track elapsed time; it is not a substitute for dive planning or a functioning dive computer where one is required.
Movement and daily ownership
The K500 uses the SII NE15, also identified as the Seiko 6R15. OceanicTime lists 23 jewels, a rate of 21,600 vibrations per hour and a 50-hour power reserve. Reviews describe it as an automatic movement that can also be wound by hand and has hacking seconds. Those features make it more practical to set precisely than an automatic movement without hacking, though the crown’s location can make the setting process less convenient.
As a mechanical watch, the K500 is not the choice for someone who wants quartz convenience or a smartwatch’s connected features. Its appeal is the combination of a mechanical movement and an unusually engineered case. The reviewed sources do not provide a current servicing program or establish service availability for a particular buyer.
Strap options and fit
Period reviews discuss the K500 on a five-link stainless-steel bracelet and an Italian rubber dive strap. Its listed lug width is 22 mm, but width alone does not guarantee that every replacement strap will fit the case cleanly: the end-link and case geometry matter. Check clearance and fit at the watch itself before ordering a replacement. Current availability of original accessories is not established by the historical reviews.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is the 500 m rating enough to trust a used K500 underwater?
No rating on a model page or in an old review certifies the present condition of an individual watch. The K500 was published as a 500 m / 1,640 ft diver, and OceanicTime describes triple O-rings and a screw-down crown. But seals age, watches can be damaged or opened for service, and the period reviews cannot tell you whether a specific resale example remains watertight.
Rank #3
- 10 ATM water resistant, support 100m underwater operation, great for swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving and other water activities.
- Support stopwatch, timer count down, Alarm clock, and hourly chime functions.
- Support month, date, week day check.
- Support dual time zone display, 12/24 hour format selectable.
- Electro luminescent backlight built-in, support time check in the darkness. Note: The battery can be replaced. If you find that the watch is not working or the text on the display is not clear, please replace the watch battery in time.
Before using a used K500 in water, have a qualified watchmaker assess its condition and pressure-test it. Do not infer current water resistance from the model’s original rating, appearance or a seller’s description alone.
What the historical edition announcement says
A period Hexa announcement reproduced by The Dive Watch Connection described the K500 Premier Edition as limited to 500 pieces worldwide and included a two-year international limited warranty. Those are historical claims from the brand announcement, not an independently audited production count or warranty coverage available to a buyer today. The announcement does not establish present production, resale value or current seller availability.
Verdict: who should consider the Hexa K500?
The K500 makes the most sense for someone who wants a large mechanical diver with a genuinely unusual case and crown layout, and who values legibility, lume and a tactile bezel. It is less compelling for someone seeking a slim watch, effortless crown access, conventional styling or a verified ready-to-dive used watch without additional inspection.
Because the available reviews date from 2013, current production, resale pricing and seller stock cannot be confirmed here. Treat any listing as a specific used-watch purchase: inspect the watch, confirm what accessories are actually included, and assess condition independently.
