Hodinkee announced another Happy Hour during New York Watch Week on October 6, but had not yet shared its date, venue, time, or RSVP details.
What was Hodinkee Happy Hour at Grotta?
It was the next installment of Hodinkee’s 2026 Happy Hour series: an informal community gathering centered on watches, food, and drinks. Hodinkee said the restaurant and bar would be available to attendees and that Editor-in-Chief James Stacey and other team members would be there to meet the New York watch community. Hodinkee’s June 22 announcement listed the event for Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Where was the event?
Hodinkee named the venue “Grotta Local” and gave the address as 177 Mulberry Street, New York, NY 10012. An Eventbrite search listing instead called it “Grotta Azzurra” at 177 Mulberry Street, New York, NY 10013. The Eventbrite page itself was not accessible, so the differing venue name and ZIP code cannot be resolved from that listing. Eventbrite’s search listing is the source for the alternate details.
Did the gathering take place?
Yes. Hodinkee’s July 7 photo recap confirms that the event happened. Its captions identify watches spotted at the gathering, including a Blancpain Léman Perpetual Calendar Flyback Chronograph, Cartier Tank Basculante, A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1, F.P. Journe Chronomètre Souverain, Vertex M36 Desert Edition, Zenith Chronomaster Sport, Rolex Datejust and Submariner, Omega Seamaster De Ville, and Panerai Luminor Marina. These are examples worn by attendees, not recommendations or endorsements.

On October 6, 2026, Hodinkee said another Happy Hour would take place during New York Watch Week, but its announcement did not provide the date, location, time, or RSVP information.
