The original Horage Lensman 1 is a 41 mm blacked-out titanium watch built around a photography theme and a flying tourbillon at six o’clock. Its case side echoes a camera-lens aperture ring, its fixed bezel recalls a focus ring, and an oversized cyclops magnifies the tourbillon. The original model’s launch terms are historical; Horage’s current shop listing is for the later Lensman 1.1.
What is the Horage Lensman 1?
Introduced in 2022, the Lensman 1 was Horage’s second watch, following the Tourbillon 1, according to Monochrome Watches’ launch coverage. The independent Swiss brand framed it as a photography-themed watch with an emphasis on Leica: the understated black finish reflects the discreet look associated with black cameras, while several design features borrow the shapes and visual language of a traditional lens.
The result is not a camera-shaped novelty. It is a conventional round wristwatch whose case, bezel, strap texture and magnified tourbillon give the photography reference its character.
How does the original Lensman 1 use camera design?
Case and bezel
The case is T5 titanium, with a laser-etched side patterned to resemble an aperture ring on a traditional Leica lens. The fixed bezel takes its cue from a focusing ring. A black onyx insert sits in the push-pull crown, continuing the dark, restrained treatment.

- Global warming accelerates glacial melting, causing severe ecological damage to Earth. Inspired by “Never-Melting Ice,” Agelocer's Swiss Chief Designer Etienne Ruffieux grand launch this full sapphire case free-sprung balance flying tourbillon watch, urging awareness of climate change. Honored with the 2022 German Design Award for its exceptional design, this tourbillon is globally limited to 100 pieces.
- The entire watch case is crafted from 5N (99.999%) high-purity sapphire crystal; 5N-grade sapphire crystal boasts a Mohs 9 hardness rating (second only to diamond) and exceptional transparency. Its superior hardness renders the case scratch and wear resistant, ensuring a flawless, long-lasting finish that stands the test of time. High transparency enables us to clearly appreciate the mechanical artistry of the ultimate skeletonized flying tourbillon.
- Self developed design CAL9001 free-sprung balance flying tourbillon movement, manual winding, 28,880 vibrations/hour, 25 ruby bearings. Satin brushed finish and chamfered edges with premium finishing techniques; Brand logo engraved and gold foiled. Dual mainspring series technology delivers 80-hour power reserve (twice that of standard tourbillon movements). This technology ensures more uniform and gradual mainspring release, resulting in enhanced timekeeping precision and stability.
- The CAL9001 tourbillon movement features the exclusive free-sprung micro-adjustment technology typically found only in luxury timepieces. This ensures the watch delivers enhanced precision and stability in timekeeping.
- 50M water resistance for the entire watch; food-grade semi-transparent silicone strap, water/sweat/corrosion resistant, comfortable and durable to wear. Super-LumiNova luminous hands, paired with a butterfly double-press clasp. We promise a three-year global warranty service.
Dial and tourbillon
The black dial pairs a matte center with a ridged outer ring, a black logo and applied black-gold indices. Super-LumiNova on the hands provides the main luminous detail. At six o’clock, the flying tourbillon is the focal point; an oversized cyclops integrated into the domed, anti-reflective sapphire crystal enlarges it for viewing.
The exhibition sapphire caseback reveals an open-worked grid and carries an engraving attributed by Monochrome to photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson: “One’s head, one’s heart and one eye on the same axis.” The attribution and wording are reported in that launch article.

What is the K-TOU movement?
The K-TOU is a hand-wound tourbillon calibre that Horage says it designed and engineered after a planned arrangement to purchase a tourbillon movement from a Swiss supplier fell through. Horage’s K-TOU movement page lists a single-barrel reserve of 120 hours, a 3.5 Hz beat rate, a 0.29 g titanium cage, silicon escapement components and -4/+6 seconds-per-day accuracy.

Horage’s later Lensman editions retain the family’s camera-inspired concept, but change the visual treatment. The Lensman 1.1 edition page identifies 1.1 as the second edition and describes red luminous details, a red minute marker and a strap with a red underside. Horage describes the Lensman 1.2 as a brighter third edition with a white dial and white woven rubber strap.
