Seiko introduced three 39 mm King Seiko Date models in February 2023 and released them in Japan on March 10 that year: the white-dial SDKS015, dark-blue SDKS017 and green SDKS019. They share the same case and movement specifications; the main distinction is dial color and finish. Seiko now lists all three as discontinued in its Japanese catalog, a status that does not establish whether retailers still have stock.
What are the King Seiko Date 39 mm models?
The SDKS015, SDKS017 and SDKS019 are three regular-production models announced by Seiko Watch Corporation on February 8, 2023. The company gave each a Japanese suggested retail price of ¥231,000 at launch and set the Japanese release date for March 10, 2023. That figure is the original Japanese launch price, not a current price or resale estimate. Seiko’s February 8, 2023 announcement introduces the references and their specifications.
How do SDKS015, SDKS017 and SDKS019 differ?
The three references share their case, bracelet and movement specifications. Choose between them by dial color and surface treatment:

Seiko describes the white dial as an homage to a fine “silk-grain” pattern. The blue and green dials have a sunray finish. All three carry over a design cue associated with the second-generation KSK: the distinctive marker at 12 o’clock. Seiko says the case and applied markers were revised for the larger 39 mm size.

Seiko’s launch release says caliber 6R55 combines a compact automatic winding mechanism with a three-day, approximately 72-hour power reserve. The accuracy range is the manufacturer’s stated specification, not an independent test result.
Bracelet and strap options
The 39 mm models use a multi-row bracelet that Seiko says is compatible with its regular 37 mm models. The company also described five dedicated King Seiko straps for the collection, but the launch announcement does not identify their references. Check fit for the specific watch and strap before buying; compatibility should not be assumed for an unrelated third-party strap.

Are the King Seiko SDKS015, SDKS017 and SDKS019 discontinued?
Yes. Seiko’s current Japanese KSK lineup marks all three 39 mm references “販売終了,” meaning sales discontinued, while listing the models with caliber 6R55. This describes their official catalog status in Japan; it does not tell you whether an individual retailer has remaining inventory. See Seiko’s Japanese King Seiko lineup.
Seiko’s U.S. King Seiko page currently groups the collection under KSK, VANAC and KS1969 and offers a retailer-finding link. That page does not confirm stock or availability of these three discontinued references in the United States.
