Tissot lists two distinct 40 mm ice-blue Powermatic 80 references: T137.407.11.351.00 has the standard ice-blue dial, while T137.407.11.351.01 is the gradient-dial version. The latter is the more meaningful talking point: it gives the established integrated-bracelet design a visual variation, but the listed specifications and US price are otherwise much the same.
First, check the reference: there are two 40 mm “Ice Blue” PRXs
Calling the standard ice-blue PRX new risks mixing it up with its newer-looking sibling. Tissot’s US listings distinguish the models by their final reference digits:
| Model | Dial | US listed price |
|---|---|---|
| T137.407.11.351.00 | Standard ice blue | $850, listed by Tissot in the US product page accessed in 2026 |
| T137.407.11.351.01 | Ice-blue gradient | $850, listed by Tissot in the US product page accessed in 2026 |
Tissot calls the .351.01 a “new gradient dial,” and Fratello referred to it as the “Ice Blue Chameleon” in September 2026. The official pages do not establish an exact launch date or worldwide availability, so “new” is best understood as referring to the gradient-dial extension—not the standard .351.00 colorway. Prices are regional listings and may change. Tissot: standard 40 mm ice-blue PRX; Tissot: 40 mm gradient ice-blue PRX; Fratello: Ice Blue Chameleon coverage.
What the gradient changes—and what it doesn’t
The gradient finish is the distinguishing feature supported by the product listings. It offers a different dial treatment within a familiar 40 mm PRX configuration; it does not, on the available specifications, make the watch a different mechanical proposition. Tissot lists the same broad case dimensions, movement, water resistance and bracelet reference for both 40 mm ice-blue versions, at the same US price when the pages were accessed in 2026.

That makes the choice unusually direct: pick the standard dial if you want the more straightforward ice-blue look, or the gradient if that variation is what draws you to the watch. The listings establish the difference in dial treatment, but do not quantify how the gradient looks under different lighting or how it compares in person. There has been no hands-on assessment here, so claims about its visual effect on the wrist would be speculation.
The standard 40 mm PRX: the listed specifications
Tissot’s product page for reference T137.407.11.351.00 lists a 316L stainless-steel case measuring 40.00 mm wide, 39.50 mm long and 10.93 mm thick, with a 12 mm lug width. It has a sapphire crystal with an underside anti-reflective coating, a see-through caseback, date display, and Super-LumiNova on the hands. The steel bracelet has a butterfly clasp with push-buttons. These are manufacturer-listed details, not independent measurements. See Tissot’s full standard-model listing.

Movement and reserve
Tissot lists a Swiss automatic movement with a patented Nivachron balance spring and specifies up to 80 hours of power reserve. “Up to” matters: the figure is the manufacturer’s specification, not a measured result for an individual watch or a guarantee of exactly 80 hours in everyday use. Tissot describes the reserve as enough for the watch to keep running for roughly three days when unworn.
Water resistance and everyday implications
Tissot rates the watch to 10 bar, also expressed as 100 m or 330 ft. Those are the manufacturer’s stated water-resistance figures; they are not a promise that every water activity is suitable or that the rating will remain unchanged over time. For care and activity-specific advice, consult Tissot’s guidance for the exact watch.

Bracelet and straps
Tissot describes the 40 mm bracelet as interchangeable with a quick-release system and lists bracelet reference T605046447. Its product page also surfaces official compatible strap options. A third-party strap should not be assumed to fit just because it is advertised for a PRX; verify compatibility with the exact reference and end-piece before buying.
Is 40 mm the right size? Compare the 35 mm option
Tissot also lists an ice-blue 35 mm Powermatic 80, reference T137.207.11.351.00. Its US page lists a $795 price, 80-hour reserve and 10 bar water resistance. Compared with either 40 mm ice-blue reference, that is a $55 lower US listed price at the time the pages were accessed in 2026. The smaller diameter changes the watch’s proportions; which size suits a particular wrist is a matter to assess in person, not something the diameter alone can settle.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. The verdict: a dial-led refresh, not a new PRX underneath
The gradient-dial .351.01 makes the stronger case for the word “new,” while the .351.00 remains the standard ice-blue reference. For a buyer choosing between them, the useful distinction is the dial treatment: the listings do not point to a corresponding change in the core 40 mm specification set or US listed price. If neither dial variation is the deciding factor, the 35 mm ice-blue model is a separate size and price option—not simply another dial finish.

Tissot says the PRX case shape dates to 1978 and presents the current watch as pairing that shape with modern features. That is the brand’s historical framing, rather than independent historical documentation. The gradient update fits the PRX’s established format; whether it is more compelling than the standard blue is a matter of taste, not a specification advantage.
