The safest way to change an Invicta watch battery is to take it to an official Invicta retail store or an authorized repair center. The correct battery and case-opening method depend on the exact model, and opening or closing the watch incorrectly can compromise its seal. If you want to do it yourself, first identify the model, battery code, and case-back type; don’t guess from the Invicta name alone.
How to get an Invicta watch battery replaced
Invicta’s Service Centers page directs customers to an official Invicta retail store for battery replacement and also lists authorized repair centers as a service route. Contact a location to confirm that it can handle your model and ask for its current price and turnaround time; a universal current fee or service time is not established.
For a watch that is still under warranty, check the warranty terms that apply to your purchase and region before anyone opens the case. Invicta’s warranty manual says batteries are excluded from coverage and warns that unauthorized service may affect warranty eligibility. The manual also advises contacting an Invicta authorized repair center for proper battery replacement.
What battery does your Invicta watch take?
There is no single battery size for all Invicta watches. Find the watch’s model number and check its documentation, or have a repair provider identify the correct cell. If the watch has already been opened by a qualified person, the number printed on the existing battery can help identify its replacement. Do not select a battery based only on the brand or appearance of the watch.

Can you replace the battery yourself?
DIY replacement is possible only if you can identify the correct battery and have the right opener for that particular case back. Case backs and battery hatches use different designs, so a generic watch tool kit is not necessarily suitable. Seiko’s technical guidance illustrates that opening methods vary and emphasizes correct gasket seating when closing a watch. It is general watchmaking guidance, not an Invicta-specific DIY procedure.
Invicta’s service guidance does not provide a universal step-by-step battery-change procedure for every model. If you cannot confidently identify the case-back type, battery, and correct way to reseat the gasket, use a professional rather than forcing the back open or shut.

Will changing the battery affect water resistance?
Opening a watch can let dust or debris enter, and a gasket that is damaged, misplaced, or improperly seated can impair water resistance. Citizen’s battery replacement guidance warns about these risks and recommends professional replacement; that is general manufacturer advice, not an Invicta-specific policy. If you wear your Invicta around water, have an authorized service provider replace the battery and assess the seal rather than assuming the watch remains water-resistant after the case has been opened.
