A Glashütte Original Sixties does not have one universal price: the collection includes multiple references and complications. A dated retailer listing puts one new stainless-steel model, reference 1-39-52-01-02-04, at €7,100 including VAT in Germany on October 7, 2026. A separate estimate for that reference places it at $4,311 on the pre-owned market as of September 30, 2026; that is an estimate, not a confirmed sale.
What does a Glashütte Original Sixties cost?
The clearest current retail benchmark in the available listings is Wempe’s €7,100 including VAT for stainless-steel reference 1-39-52-01-02-04. This is a retailer’s displayed price, not a manufacturer-wide price or proof of a completed purchase. Glashütte Original’s own page for a different steel reference, 1-39-52-04-02-04, gives no price and says to contact a point of sale; the price may vary with the strap fastening.
For the same reference as Wempe’s listing, WatchCharts estimated a pre-owned price of $4,311 on September 30, 2026. Treat that as a third-party estimate only: it is not a verified transaction, and it uses a different sales channel and currency from the retail listing. The figures do not establish the discount a particular buyer will receive.
Why “Sixties” is not a single price
The Sixties belongs to Glashütte Original’s Vintage Collection, which the manufacturer says draws inspiration from the 1960s and 1970s. The collection page includes standard Sixties watches as well as Panorama Date, Small Second, chronograph and annual-edition chronograph variants. Case materials, dimensions and complications differ, so a price for one reference should not be applied to the family as a whole.

What the two steel references include
Reference 1-39-52-04-02-04: manufacturer specifications
Glashütte Original specifies a polished 39 mm stainless-steel case measuring 9.40 mm thick, 3 bar water resistance, and automatic manufactory calibre 39-52. The movement has a 40-hour power reserve with a stated ±5% tolerance and beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz). Its black dial is domed and galvanic. Through the sapphire case back, the manufacturer lists finishing details including a Glashütte three-quarter plate, swan-neck fine adjustment, polished steel parts and a skeletonized rotor with a 21-carat gold oscillating weight.

- Glashutte Senator Sixties Chronograph Men's Watch 1-39-34-03-22-04
The listed strap is black Louisiana alligator leather, with a 19 mm end-link width. The manufacturer says the price can vary between a pin buckle and folding clasp. Confirm the fastening and price for the exact watch with a point of sale; do not assume the specification or strap fit applies to every Sixties reference.
Reference 1-39-52-01-02-04: Wempe listing
Wempe lists this reference with a 39 mm steel case, calibre 39-52, 40-hour power reserve, 3 bar water resistance and a silver dial. Its displayed €7,100 price includes VAT. Wempe also states a two-year manufacturer warranty plus one year from the retailer. Those price and warranty terms describe Wempe’s listing, not a universal quote or warranty in every country.

How to compare prices fairly
Before deciding whether a quote is attractive, match the watch itself and the terms of sale. Record:
- Exact reference, dial and case material, plus any complication.
- Whether the watch is new or pre-owned, and its condition.
- Whether the box and papers are included.
- Seller, country and tax treatment, including whether VAT is included.
- Strap or bracelet and fastening type, such as pin buckle or folding clasp.
- Quote date and whether the price is an asking price, estimate or completed sale.
These details matter because the available examples are not like-for-like: one is a VAT-inclusive retailer listing, while the other is a secondary-market estimate. Check current price and stock with the seller; neither figure guarantees present availability.

- Glashutte Caliber 39-34
- Domed dial with a very fine sun-ray finish & a gradient dark to lighter glacier blue effect.
Buying pre-owned and planning ownership
The $4,311 WatchCharts figure can be a reference point for investigating the secondary market, but it is not evidence that a particular watch has sold for that amount. Ask the seller for the exact reference, condition, included accessories and documentation, and verify the details before comparing it with a new retail listing.
Straps and bracelets are available separately from Glashütte Original. The brand gives a 19 mm end-link width for reference 1-39-52-04-02-04, but buyers should verify compatibility against their own reference and clasp before ordering, especially for aftermarket options. The manufacturer’s product page does not establish a model-specific service interval or service cost, so those should be requested from an authorized point of sale rather than assumed.
