Patek Philippe publishes a maximum full-maintenance price of CHF 1,000 before taxes for a mechanical self-winding watch, but that is not a guaranteed Nautilus quote. The final price depends on the watch’s movement and condition, location, tax treatment, and any additional parts or case-and-bracelet work. An estimate based on the specific reference and inspection is the way to establish the cost.
What Patek Philippe’s published service prices cover
Patek Philippe lists maximum public prices in Swiss francs, excluding taxes. Its categories are service classifications, not Nautilus-specific prices. The published full-maintenance figures are:

| Service category | Published maximum price | Examples or scope |
|---|---|---|
| Mechanical self-winding | CHF 1,000, excluding taxes | Baseline category; not a guaranteed price for an individual Nautilus |
| Complication I | CHF 1,500, excluding taxes | Examples include annual calendar, Travel Time, and moon phases |
| Complication II | CHF 2,100, excluding taxes | Includes perpetual calendar and chronograph |
| Complication III | CHF 2,700, excluding taxes | Includes chronograph with perpetual calendar |
| Grand complications and classic watches over 30 years old | On request | Price is not listed as a standard maximum |
These are Patek Philippe’s published maximum prices as listed in 2026, not a quote for an inspected watch. Full maintenance includes disassembly, inspection, replacement of worn parts, cleaning, reassembly, lubrication, dial and hands adjustment, and complete testing. Joints and movement supplies are routinely replaced. Additional components, such as the dial, bracelet, or crystal, may cost extra if needed. Patek Philippe’s service-cost page identifies case and bracelet refreshing as separate from maintenance.

Parts identified during inspection
If inspection shows that components such as the dial, bracelet, or crystal need replacement, those costs may be additional. The published category price should therefore be treated as a service baseline, not an all-in total for every watch.
How prices vary by location
Tax treatment and local price lists can make regional figures look different from the CHF maximums. For example, Patek Philippe Boutique Tokyo Omotesando lists tax-included prices effective 2026-04-13: ¥220,000 for a self-winding overhaul, ¥330,000 for Complication I, ¥462,000 for Complication II, and ¥594,000 for Complication III. The boutique says grand complications and classic collection watches more than 20 years old are estimated in Geneva. These Japan-specific, tax-included amounts are not universal prices or direct conversions of the CHF figures. Patek Philippe’s published CHF prices are stated before taxes.

How to get an exact Nautilus estimate
- Contact a Patek Philippe point of sale or authorized service center. Provide the reference and describe the watch’s condition and any known issues.
- Ask whether an immediate estimate is available. Patek Philippe says eligible modern watches made after 1980 can receive an immediate estimate when they need standard service and show no visible damage. Haute Horlogerie models are excluded.
- Arrange a detailed estimate if the watch falls outside those criteria. An authorized center may need to open the watch to assess its condition and required work. Patek Philippe says detailed estimates are usually given within five working days.
- Review the estimate before authorizing service. Check the service category, parts and case-or-bracelet work, currency, taxes, timing, and any estimate-refusal fee. Patek Philippe says a fee may apply if a detailed estimate is declined; the maximum depends on service type and whether the watch is modern or vintage.
For qualifying watches, Patek Philippe describes its immediate-estimate process as offering an accurate cost and service-time estimate within minutes. That claim applies only to the eligible watches and service situations above. See Patek Philippe’s cost and estimate information.
How long can service take?
Patek Philippe says reception through its servicing process lasts between 6 and 12 weeks. Its broader service commitment notes that full maintenance can take weeks depending on model complexity and the work required. Treat the estimate’s timing as specific to the watch and the service center’s current workload. Patek Philippe’s servicing-process page explains the process and estimate timing.

Why use an authorized service center?
Patek Philippe states that maintenance carries a two-year warranty across its authorized service-center network. It also says its warranty expires if interventions are performed by unauthorized third parties. Confirm the applicable service warranty and coverage with the authorized center handling the watch. Patek Philippe’s service-cost information and its servicing-process page describe its service terms.
