OMEGA’s 2023 Seamaster anniversary release comprised 11 watches across seven model families—not 11 entirely separate lines. Launched on 27 June 2023, the collection used Summer Blue in varying shades to signal each watch’s water-resistance rating, from the 150m Aqua Terra to the 6,000m Planet Ocean Ultra Deep. The range also shared a commemorative Seahorse caseback motif.

What “11 watches across seven models” means

The Seamaster began in 1948, making 2023 its 75th anniversary, according to CNA’s July 2023 report. OMEGA’s 27 June announcement described seven iconic Seamaster models and eleven watches in all. The larger count reflects configurations within those families—such as different sizes or strap options—not eleven unrelated product lines.

OMEGA summarized the range as a trajectory “from dressy to serious dive tech.” Its central design idea was a shared Summer Blue color, applied more lightly or deeply according to each model’s water-resistance rating. OMEGA described the Aqua Terra as representing the sunlit surface and the Ultra Deep as the dark abyss. OMEGA’s 27 June 2023 launch announcement sets out that concept.

How the Summer Blue color tracks water resistance

The launch coverage reported five rating levels across the seven families. The dial blue becomes darker as the stated depth rating rises. These are the watches’ reported water-resistance ratings, not a recommendation to test a watch at its limit in real-world conditions.

Seamaster family 2023 launch-era rating Collection role
Aqua Terra, including Worldtimer 150m Surface-oriented daily and travel watches
Seamaster 300 and Diver 300M 300m Two distinct dive-watch designs
Planet Ocean 600m Deeper-rated professional dive-watch family
Ploprof 1,200m Purpose-built, unusually broad dive-watch case

The ratings and the relationship between darker blue and greater depth were reported in 2023 by Time+Tide and CNA Luxury.

How the seven model families differ

The collection’s shared color and anniversary marking sit across watches with different proportions, dial treatments and uses. The comparisons below describe the configurations reported at launch; they do not establish current production or availability.

Aqua Terra 150M: the brightest, most surface-oriented option

The 150m Aqua Terra was offered in 38mm and 41mm stainless-steel configurations. Launch coverage reported the 41mm version on either a bracelet or a Summer Blue rubber strap. Its brighter blue treatment is consistent with the family’s place at the surface-oriented end of the collection.

Aqua Terra Worldtimer: travel function with a world-map dial

The 43mm stainless-steel Worldtimer configurations were reported on a bracelet or rubber strap. Their dial adds a world-map presentation, distinguishing them from the simpler Aqua Terra variants while retaining the same 150m rating.

Seamaster 300: vintage-influenced details

This 41mm steel model was rated to 300m. Its grained, matte dial and enamel bezel details set it apart visually from the similarly rated Diver 300M.

Seamaster Diver 300M: the wave-pattern dial

The 42mm steel Diver 300M was also rated to 300m. It has a ceramic dial with a laser-etched wave pattern and was reported with either a bracelet or rubber strap. The matching depth rating does not make it interchangeable in character with the Seamaster 300: the case size, dial surface and bezel presentation differ.

Planet Ocean 600M: a darker dial and deeper rating

The Planet Ocean’s reported rating is 600m, with launch coverage describing a darker, vertically brushed dial. Published dimensions differ between the 2023 reports, so a single precise measurement is not included here.

Ploprof: a notably broad monobloc case

The redesigned or reintroduced steel Ploprof was rated to 1,200m. Time+Tide reported a monobloc case and a 55mm dimension; that broad measurement makes this the most visibly distinct case concept in the group. The 55mm figure is the dimension reported by that outlet, not a general sizing convention for every model in the line.

Planet Ocean Ultra Deep 6000M: the abyssal end of the range

The Ultra Deep was rated to 6,000m and received the darkest dial treatment. Time+Tide described its textured dial as representing the bathymetry of Challenger Deep. The outlet also reported a UV-visible “Omega was here” detail referencing a record dive to 10,935m. That 10,935m figure refers to the dive depth, not the watch’s water-resistance rating.

The shared anniversary detail

Time+Tide and CNA described an engraved or etched caseback emblem across the commemorative watches, combining Poseidon or a trident with two seahorses. It gives the release a common anniversary marker even where the case, dial and intended use differ.

What the 2023 launch does—and does not—tell buyers now

The collection was announced in June 2023, and the launch-era reports are useful for understanding its models and design. They do not establish which references remain in production, what is currently in stock, or today’s regional retail prices. Check OMEGA or an authorized retailer for current reference status and pricing before making a purchase decision.
