What the original Green model offers
Louis Erard specifies a 40 mm Grade 5 titanium case, satin-finished and polished, with sapphire crystal treated with anti-reflective coating on both sides. The 2025 launch specifications give 46.50 mm lug-to-lug and 12.45 mm thickness. Water resistance is rated at 5 bar (50 m); that rating alone is not a guarantee for every kind of water activity.
The automatic Sellita SW266-1 regulator displays hours on a counter at 9 o’clock, seconds at 3 o’clock, and minutes centrally. Louis Erard states a minimum 38-hour power reserve. The Green strap is black Himeji Kurozan leather with Urushi lacquer finish and quick-release spring bars; the launch specification gives a 20/18 mm strap width. Check compatibility for the selected reference before buying a replacement strap.

Checks to make before paying
- Match the watch and paperwork. Confirm the color, reference, and edition details on the listing, invoice, warranty papers, and watch. The original Green launch materials describe a “1 OF 178” engraving; ask the seller what numbering appears on the offered piece rather than assuming a particular number.
- Get a clear availability and dispatch answer. Ask whether the watch is physically in stock, wait-listed, or only available for a notification, and request the expected dispatch window in writing. The cited public listings do not establish a firm delivery date.
- Verify the seller and condition. If buying new, confirm the selling entity and its authorization for the brand. Watches of Switzerland describes itself as an authorized luxury retailer, but verify the specific listing and seller. Establish whether the watch is new, unworn, pre-owned, or a resale.
- Calculate the destination total. Get a checkout quote that accounts for local taxes, import duties, shipping, and currency conversion. The CHF 4,500 manufacturer price is excluding tax; a retailer’s displayed USD price is not a universal all-in total.
- Read the actual warranty and return terms. Louis Erard’s Green listing states a three-year warranty. Confirm in writing who provides coverage, what it covers in your region, and the seller’s return conditions; do not infer terms for another color or seller.
- For a pre-owned watch, request evidence. Ask for clear photographs of the reference, caseback, serial or edition engraving, condition, and available movement documentation and original papers. Arrange independent authentication if you need it; the cited sources do not identify a universal authentication service.
