Because the frame, display position and band all need to fit correctly, the safest buying route is an in-person demo at a participating retailer. Store inventory and appointments are location-specific, so verify both before traveling.
The short answer
In the United States, Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses are currently a $799 bundle that includes the glasses and Meta Neural Band. The practical way to buy them is to book an in-person demonstration at a participating retailer, confirm that the location has the right frame and band sizes available, try the glasses and band together, and then complete the purchase if the fit and configuration work for you.
This is not yet a straightforward “add to cart and wait for delivery” product. Availability is store-specific, demonstrations may be required, and some retailers warn that stock may be limited or unavailable immediately.
If you search for Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses through a marketplace, treat the result as a search lead rather than proof of official availability. The research did not verify a clearly official exact Amazon listing for the glasses-and-band bundle.
How to buy Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses
- Start with a demo scheduler. Use Meta’s purchase or demo process, or check a participating retailer such as Best Buy, Verizon, Ray-Ban, LensCrafters or Sunglass Hut.
- Choose a specific store before traveling. Demo appointments, sellable inventory, frame sizes and Neural Band sizes can vary by location.
- Try the glasses and Neural Band together. The display, frame and EMG-controlled band all need to work comfortably as a system.
- Test the features you actually plan to use. Ask to see the display, camera preview, captions, translation, navigation, messages, calls and music controls.
- Confirm phone, account and network requirements. Setup requires the Meta AI mobile app, a Meta account, a supported smartphone and wireless internet access for several functions.
- Discuss prescription eligibility before paying. Participating certified retailers can process prescriptions within the published total-power range, but not every demonstration location necessarily handles prescription orders.
- Confirm the exact return terms and delivery timing. Read the retailer’s current policy, especially if you are ordering prescription lenses or a configuration that is not immediately in stock.
Where can you try and buy them?
Meta’s launch information identifies several U.S. retail channels. The important qualification is that a retailer being named as a sales channel does not mean every branch has a display unit or inventory.

Best Buy
Best Buy has a dedicated Meta Ray-Ban Display category and has listed six configurations at $799. The listings cover black and sand colorways, Standard and Large frames, and Neural Band sizes 1, 2 and 3. Best Buy’s Meta Lab program also advertises hands-on demonstrations in more than 50 stores, including trying the glasses and controlling them with hand movements.
Check the selected store before visiting. During the research check, the Best Buy page showed pickup and shipping unavailable for the displayed location despite listing the product configurations. A category page therefore should not be treated as confirmation that your local store has a demo or a purchasable unit.
Best Buy Meta Ray-Ban Display demo is the most useful route if you want a hands-on retail demonstration, but select your store and verify the appointment or inventory status first.
Verizon
Verizon lists a shiny-black-frame and charcoal-black-band configuration for $799. Its product information says an in-store demonstration is required before purchase to help ensure proper fit. Verizon also warns that availability is limited and may not be immediate.
The page advertises free returns within 30 days and a Verizon Visa financing option, but commercial terms can change. Confirm those details at checkout rather than relying on an older product-page description.
Meta Ray-Ban Display in-store demo through Verizon may suit shoppers who prefer that retail network, but the required demonstration and limited-availability warning make calling or booking ahead particularly important.
Ray-Ban, LensCrafters and Sunglass Hut
Meta’s launch announcement named Ray-Ban Stores, LensCrafters and Sunglass Hut among the initial U.S. retail channels. These optical retailers may be especially useful if you need help with frame fitting or prescription lenses.

Ray-Ban Display glasses fitting and prescription Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses are best handled through a participating certified optical retailer, but participation and lens-service capabilities are location-specific.
Meta Labs, pop-ups and other demo locations
Meta has directed prospective buyers toward in-person demonstrations, and contemporary retail reporting has described Meta Lab locations and pop-ups. Because pop-ups and temporary locations can close or move, use Meta’s live scheduler rather than relying on a previously announced event. Confirm the address, appointment time and whether the location can sell the exact configuration you want.
Why the in-person demo matters
These glasses are more fit-sensitive than a conventional pair of sunglasses. The product combines a display built into one lens with a wearable Neural Band that interprets subtle muscle activity in the wrist or hand. The official description is electromyographic, or EMG, sensing—not mind reading.
Recommended Free Tools
The glasses are available in Standard and Large frame sizes. The Neural Band is available in three sizes. A frame that looks close to your usual Ray-Ban size may not place the display in the right position for your eye, and a band that is too loose or too tight may be uncomfortable or less reliable at recognizing intended gestures.
During the appointment, check:
- Display alignment: Is the monocular display comfortably positioned and readable without awkwardly moving your head or eyes?
- Frame comfort: Do the bridge, temples and nose pads remain comfortable after several minutes?
- Band fit: Does the Neural Band stay secure while your hand and wrist move naturally?
- Gesture recognition: Does it recognize the gestures you intend to use without repeated retries?
- Controls: Can you use the band, touch controls and voice controls comfortably?
- Everyday visibility: Can you read the display in the lighting conditions in which you expect to use it?
What comes with the $799 package?
The $799 package includes the Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses and Meta Neural Band. Ray-Ban’s product information lists the following hardware and accessories:
- a full-color 600-by-600-pixel monocular display integrated into one lens;
- a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera with 3x zoom;
- open-ear speakers;
- a five-microphone array plus a contact microphone;
- 32GB of storage;
- a charging case;
- a USB-C cable;
- a cleaning cloth; and
- printed manuals.
The glasses are listed with up to six hours of battery life per charge, and the fully charged case is listed with up to 24 hours of additional or total-use capability on the current Ray-Ban product information. Treat those as published maximums, not a guarantee of everyday runtime: battery life depends on features, recording, calls, display use and other conditions. Meta’s launch materials described battery performance using different mixed-use wording, so the current product page is the better reference for the advertised figure.
The Neural Band is listed with an 18-hour battery. The glasses also support touch and voice controls, but the band is the defining control accessory for this model and should be treated as part of the fit decision—not an optional afterthought.

| Feature | What to check |
|---|---|
| Visual navigation | Whether the directions are available in your city and remain easy for you to read while walking. |
| Live captions | How readable the text is and whether the feature suits the environments where you need it. |
| Translation | Which languages and modes are available in the current software. |
| Messages and calls | Whether notifications, dictation and calling work naturally with your phone and account. |
| Camera preview | Whether you can frame a shot using the visual preview rather than relying only on the camera’s physical position. |
| Music | Whether open-ear audio is clear enough for your intended surroundings. |
| Meta AI | Which assistant functions are enabled for your account, location and language. |
Software availability is not universal. Ray-Ban’s FAQ describes pedestrian navigation as a beta feature available only in selected cities. Do not assume that a feature demonstrated in one store will work in every country, city, language or account configuration. Likewise, do not assume that every third-party app is supported.
Can you get prescription lenses?
Yes, the glasses are prescription-compatible through participating certified retailers. Ray-Ban’s published FAQ gives an eligible range of -4.00 to +4.00 total power and requires a valid prescription.
That range is not a promise that every prescription, lens material, coating or insurance plan will be accepted by every store. Before paying, ask the optical retailer:
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- whether your prescription falls within the supported total-power range;
- whether the store can process the Display model rather than ordinary Ray-Ban Meta glasses;
- which lens options and treatments are available;
- whether your insurance can be applied;
- how long prescription fulfillment will take; and
- whether prescription orders have different return or exchange terms.
Bring a current prescription or make sure the retailer can access the required information. If your total power is outside -4.00 to +4.00, contact the retailer before booking or paying; the available official information does not establish universal eligibility beyond that range.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Phone, app and account requirements
Setup requires the Meta AI mobile app, a valid Meta account, a supported smartphone and wireless internet access. The connection is needed for functions such as Meta AI, media import and software updates.
The official information contains slightly different iOS wording across pages: the FAQ lists iOS 14.4 or newer, while the product page separately lists iOS 15.2 and Android 10 for operating-system compatibility. For that reason, iPhone owners should check the current Meta AI app requirements for their specific device before traveling or purchasing. Android requirements are listed as Android 10 or newer, with location services enabled in the FAQ.
At the demo, ask whether you can complete or begin setup with your own phone. This can reveal account, app, Bluetooth, location-service or network problems before you commit to the purchase.
Why online availability can be misleading
Retailer category pages can show a product even when a selected store has no pickup unit, no shipping availability or no demonstration appointment. Best Buy’s captured page showed the configurations and $799 price but unavailable pickup and shipping for the selected location. Verizon’s page warns that stock may be limited and not immediately available.

Use this sequence instead:
- Enter your ZIP code or select the exact store.
- Check both demo appointments and purchase inventory.
- Call the store if the page is ambiguous.
- Ask the employee to confirm the frame size, color and Neural Band size—not merely the product family.
- Get the expected delivery date in writing for prescription or backordered configurations.
Do not infer nationwide stock from one retailer page, and do not assume that an ordinary online listing for Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses is the Display model. The Display glasses and Neural Band are a distinct product bundle.

Bottom line on buying them
Plan to buy Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses as a fitted wearable, not as an ordinary pair of online sunglasses. The current U.S. starting price is $799 with the Neural Band included. Book a demo, verify local inventory, try the display and band together, and settle prescription and return questions before paying. Best Buy is the clearest hands-on retail route identified in the research, Verizon offers another documented in-store-demo path, and Ray-Ban-affiliated optical retailers are the most relevant places to investigate prescription fitting.
