What makes the Unfrogettable different to care for?

The brand notes that the appropriate frequency can also depend on climate and how the owner cares for the watch. Treat five years as the maker’s general interval, not as a guarantee that every watch can safely go that long regardless of its condition. What does the 5-bar water-resistance rating mean for use?
Louis Erard’s Purple and Green product listings specify water resistance of 5 bar (50 m/165 ft). The brand’s WeCare guidance recommends checking water resistance once a year. A rating on a product listing does not establish the current condition of an individual watch, and the official material cited here does not specify which activities—such as swimming, diving, hot-water exposure, or water sports—it approves for this model.

For that reason, do not treat the number as a blanket promise that the watch is suitable for a particular water activity. Arrange the recommended annual check, and ask Louis Erard or an authorized service center for model-specific advice before exposing it to water. A home wipe or rinse cannot verify or restore water resistance.
How should you clean the case, crystal, and strap?

For light dust on the case or crystal, a clean, soft microfiber cloth is a conservative option. Keep the task to gentle exterior dusting; this is not a substitute for servicing or a water-resistance test. Avoid assuming that a home cleaning method is approved for every component.
