To change the WHOOP app language, use the WHOOP app’s Preferred Language setting in iPhone Settings; on Android, change your phone’s system language. WHOOP lists six app languages: English, French, German, Latin American Spanish, European Portuguese, and Italian. Some coaching and insights content may remain in English, and WHOOP Coach currently supports English only.
How to change your WHOOP app language
On iPhone
- Update WHOOP from the App Store if an update is available.
- Force-close and reopen the WHOOP app.
- Open iPhone Settings and scroll down to WHOOP.
- Under Preferred Language, choose a supported language.
- If Preferred Language is missing, go to Settings > General > Language & Region and add another language under Other Languages. Then return to WHOOP’s settings and check again.
The app-specific language control may not appear until you add a secondary preferred language in iPhone settings.
On Android
- Update WHOOP from Google Play if an update is available.
- Open Android System Settings and set your preferred system language to a language WHOOP supports.
- Force-close and reopen WHOOP. If the app has not changed, wait briefly and force-close it once more.
WHOOP uses the device’s system language on Android, so this changes the phone’s language rather than setting a separate language just for WHOOP.

Change the language on WHOOP.com or WHOOP Support
To change the language on either website, scroll to the bottom of the page and use the language selector, shown as a globe icon or dropdown. Choose a language and the page updates automatically. WHOOP says the site remembers your last selection for future visits. The website selector’s language list is separate; do not assume it matches the app list.
Troubleshooting
- The language option is missing on iPhone: Update WHOOP and check whether you need to add another language under Settings > General > Language & Region.
- The app still shows the old language: Force-close and reopen WHOOP. On Android, WHOOP recommends waiting briefly and force-closing it again if needed.
- Your preferred language is not listed: WHOOP’s current app list contains six languages. Check WHOOP Support for current guidance if your menus or available options differ.
- Some content remains in English: Some coaching and insights features may be English-only, and WHOOP Coach currently supports English only.
