To set a Casio Baby-G, first find the module number on the case back and open the matching Casio operation guide. Baby-G button labels and setting steps vary by module, so there is no single sequence that fits every digital model. The steps below illustrate modules 3198/3299; use your watch’s guide for the exact controls.
Find your Baby-G module number and manual
- Turn the watch over and look for the module number on the case back.
- Find that number on Casio’s official watch manuals page, then open the matching operation guide.
- Use the guide’s instructions for timekeeping, alarms, and hourly signals. For example, Casio publishes separate guides for modules 3198/3299, 3531, 3522, and 3561.
The module-specific examples below explain how the 3198/3299 guide handles time and alarms. Do not assume its buttons or procedures apply to another module.

Set the time on a Baby-G 3198/3299
On modules 3198/3299, the C button cycles modes. In Timekeeping Mode, use this sequence:

- Press C to move through the settings until the value you want to change is flashing.
- Press D to increase the flashing value or B to decrease it.
- Press A to exit when you have finished.
The guide treats daylight-saving time, home city, calendar, and 12/24-hour display as separate settings. Consult the 3198/3299 operation guide for their order and any additional instructions.

Set an alarm on a Baby-G 3198/3299
- Press C until Alarm Mode appears.
- Press D to select the alarm you want to set.
- Hold A until the hour flashes.
- Press C to move among the hour, minute, and one-time/daily settings. Use D to increase a value or B to decrease it.
- Press A to finish.
On a 12-hour display, check that the selected time has the correct a.m. or p.m. setting. The 3198/3299 guide says completing setup automatically turns on the one-time alarm.
Turn an alarm or hourly signal on or off
For modules 3198/3299, select an alarm in Alarm Mode with D, then press A to cycle that alarm between one-time, daily, and off. The hourly signal is a separate screen in Alarm Mode; select it and press A to toggle it. An indicator appears when an alarm or the hourly signal is enabled. These controls are specific to this module family; follow the matching guide for other watches.

Alarm count and sound behavior depend on the module
Casio’s manuals describe different alarm arrangements across these modules. The figures below apply only to the named modules.

Timekeeping accuracy for modules 3198/3299
Casio specifies accuracy of ±30 seconds per month at normal temperature for modules 3198/3299. That is a manufacturer specification for these modules, not a general accuracy claim for the Baby-G range. The cited manual identifies code MA1205-EA and does not state a publication year in the retrieved text. See the 3198/3299 guide.
