To see Patek Philippe’s Watch Art material online, open the manufacture’s official Watch Art Grand Exhibitions page and select Virtual Visit under June 2023: Tokyo. That link opens an interactive tour of the Tokyo exhibition. For the wider collection, the Patek Philippe Museum overview explains what the museum holds, but Patek Philippe does not present that overview as a complete, searchable online catalog of its objects.
Open the Tokyo virtual tour
- Go to the Watch Art Grand Exhibitions page on patek.com.
- Find the entry labelled June 2023: Tokyo.
- Click the link labelled Virtual Visit.
- Use a browser with JavaScript turned on. In a text-only view the tour returned only a message that JavaScript was not activated, so no scene content was visible.
Because the tour’s rooms, controls and object labels could not be read without JavaScript, this guide does not describe them. Once the tour loads, its own navigation is the reliable guide.
What the Tokyo exhibition was
Patek Philippe describes the June 2023 Tokyo exhibition as one of the manufacture’s largest events. According to the company, it showed nearly 500 timepieces in a 2,500 m² space and drew over 60,000 guests. The venue was Sumitomo Sankaku Hiroba in Shinjuku. These are the figures for the in-person event; the company does not publish visitor statistics for the online tour.
“Over 60,000 guests marveled at nearly 500 timepieces within a 2,500m² space that evoked the Geneva harbor, at Sumitomo Sankaku Hiroba in Shinjuku.”

What the Patek Philippe Museum overview covers
For background on the collection itself, the Patek Philippe Museum overview is the official starting point. It describes four areas:
Rank #2
- Antique Collection: the museum’s older pieces. Its holdings are described as around 2,500 watches, automatons, precious objects and miniature enamel portraits spanning five centuries.
- Patek Philippe Collection: the manufacture’s own creations from 1839 onward.
- Workbench and restoration displays: the craft side of the work, shown alongside the objects.
- Library and historical archives: more than 8,000 library works, according to the overview.
The overview is useful for understanding how the collection is organised. It does not list individual objects, so it cannot tell you whether a specific watch is on display or documented online.
Choosing between the two online routes
| Route | Best for | What it provides | Limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Watch Art Grand Exhibition Tokyo 2023 Virtual Visit | Walking through an exhibition environment online | An interactive virtual tour linked by Patek Philippe | Requires JavaScript; scene content is not described in this guide |
| Patek Philippe Museum overview | Learning how the collection is structured and what themes it covers | A narrative overview of the Antique Collection, the Patek Philippe Collection, craft displays and archives | Not presented as a complete searchable catalog; no individual object entries |
Print companions from the museum
The museum’s visitor page lists two illustrated books. Neither is needed to use the virtual tour, but both are useful if you want more detail on the collection.

Patek Philippe’s exhibition page also announces a Watch Art event in Milan, scheduled for October 2–18, 2026, with free public admission. It is a physical exhibition, not an online collection or virtual tour. Because exhibition dates and details can change, check the Watch Art Grand Exhibitions page for the latest information before planning a visit.

What the official pages do not establish
- No complete digitized inventory of the museum’s objects is published on the pages reviewed.
- No online-tour usage or audience figures are published.
- No named individual quotation accompanies the exhibition or collection pages.
If the virtual tour does not load
- Blank page or JavaScript message: enable JavaScript in your browser settings, then reload the page.
- Still not loading: try a different current browser and confirm the link was opened from the official Watch Art Grand Exhibitions page.
- Looking for a specific watch: the museum overview gives collection context only, so an object search is not available through these pages.
