The HTD Safarigraph is a hand-wound chronograph designed in Florence with a desert-and-savannah-inspired look—not a watch documented as tested or engineered for desert conditions. What is the HTD Safarigraph?
The Safarigraph is a chronograph from HTD, a watch brand founded in Florence. HTD says founders Federico Del Guerra and Federico Zulian officially established the company in 2020. Fratello’s 19 April 2021 article says Matteo Fratini of The Watch Strategist helped design the Safarigraph. Its title contrasts the watch’s Florentine design with its desert theme; that phrase is best read as a design story, not as evidence of specialized field performance. Fratello’s Safarigraph review
How does the desert-inspired design show up?
The reviewed watch uses a brown and beige dial, with orange tones that Fratello says become visible in bright light. Red accents appear on the minute counter and the Safarigraph text; the tachymeter scale and subdials are brown. Sand-colored C3 Super-LumiNova marks the hands and hour indices. Together, these colors and details give the watch its savannah-and-desert character.

That visual identity does not establish desert-specific durability. The cited review reports no desert-condition testing or special desert-use rating.
