When did the Huawei Band 9 go on sale in China?
Huawei’s April 8, 2024 launch announcement said presales were already open. Formal sales were scheduled to start April 12, 2024, through Huawei Mall and authorized e-commerce platforms. The launch report records that schedule; it does not confirm present-day availability.
What were the China launch prices?
| China version | Announced launch price |
|---|---|
| Standard | ¥269, according to Huawei’s April 2024 launch announcement |
| NFC | ¥309, according to Huawei’s April 2024 launch announcement |
A Huawei Vmall listing surfaced with the standard Band 9 at ¥199 against a listed ¥269, but that older, dynamic listing is not reliable evidence of today’s price or stock. Check Huawei’s China store or authorized sellers for current terms.
What did the Band 9 offer at launch?
Huawei’s launch materials described a 1.47-inch AMOLED display, TruSleep 4.0 sleep tracking, 100 workout modes and health-monitoring functions. These are manufacturer-reported capabilities, not an independent assessment of their accuracy.

How do regional versions differ?
Prices and specifications announced for other markets are not substitutes for China pricing. Huawei Japan announced a local release for April 25, 2024, at suggested prices of ¥8,580 for fluoroelastomer-strap models and ¥9,680 for the nylon-strap version; dedicated replacement straps were ¥1,650. These are Japan-market prices, not currency conversions of the China launch prices. Huawei Japan’s April 18, 2024 release also listed Android 8.0 and iOS 13.0 or later as supported there.
Compatibility requirements can differ across markets: Huawei South Africa’s Band 9 page describes different platform minimums. Confirm the requirements for the exact regional variant and your phone before buying. The same South Africa page says Band 8 and Band 9 straps are interchangeable, but strap material differs; verify the exact variant’s fit before ordering a replacement.
