Huawei’s Watch Fit 4 Pro is a lightweight fitness smartwatch with unusually ambitious outdoor features. It combines dual-band GNSS, offline route maps, trail-running tools, golf-course mapping, freediving support, ECG hardware in selected markets and a bright sapphire-covered display. Its biggest advantages are battery life, broad phone compatibility and feature density—not a full smartwatch app ecosystem or professional dive-computer capability.
What is the Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro?
Launched in 2025, the Watch Fit 4 Pro is the premium model in Huawei’s Watch Fit 4 range. It uses a slim rectangular design rather than a conventional round sports-watch case. The watch measures approximately 44.5 × 40 × 9.3mm, weighs about 30.4g without the strap and has a 1.82-inch AMOLED display.
The case combines an aluminium-alloy body, titanium bezel and artificial sapphire crystal. Huawei claims peak brightness of 3,000 nits, which should make the screen easier to read outdoors. Sapphire crystal is highly scratch-resistant, but it is not indestructible, and peak brightness does not mean the display remains at that level constantly.
It supports Android and iPhone, but the experience depends on Huawei Health, your phone platform and your account region. The watch is best understood as a lifestyle smartwatch with serious outdoor ambitions—not as a dedicated expedition watch.

Outdoor features: what makes the Pro different?
Dual-band GNSS and offline routes
The Watch Fit 4 Pro supports dual-band, five-system GNSS, including GPS, Galileo, BeiDou and QZSS. Dual-band positioning can help in difficult conditions such as dense woodland, mountain terrain and urban canyons.
It also supports route navigation, offline maps and barometric readings. These are useful when mobile coverage is unavailable, but “offline maps” should not automatically be interpreted as full topographic or turn-by-turn navigation. The exact route, map and guidance experience can depend on software version, region and Huawei Health support. Check how your intended routes are handled before relying on the watch for remote navigation.
Trail-running and hiking tools make the Pro more capable than a basic activity tracker. However, GNSS accuracy still varies with trees, buildings, weather, wrist position and route geometry. Dual-band support is a strong specification, not a guarantee of Garmin-level tracking in every environment.
Golf-course maps
Huawei advertises maps for more than 15,000 golf courses. The feature set includes course maps, distance measurements, green information, green direction, electronic scorecards and post-round analysis involving strokes, putts, penalties, fairway hits and greens hit.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →The number of advertised courses is less important than whether your course is included. Huawei says availability depends on country and account region; mainland-China maps require an account registered in mainland China. Verify your local course before buying.
Freediving and water resistance
The watch supports freediving to a stated depth of 40 metres and includes apnea-training and apnea-testing tools that can record metrics such as heart rate, blood oxygen and breath-hold duration. It also carries a 5 ATM/50-metre water-resistance rating for ordinary water exposure.
That does not make it a professional scuba or technical-diving computer. Swimming, recreational freediving and scuba diving have different equipment and safety requirements. Do not use the Watch Fit 4 Pro as your sole instrument for serious diving, and follow Huawei’s operating limits.
What do the “pro-level” health tools actually do?
The health feature list is broad, but it should be separated into wellness trends and medical measurement. Huawei says the watch is not a medical device and that readings are for reference rather than diagnosis or treatment.

Heart rate, SpO₂ and temperature
Huawei’s TruSense system supports heart-rate and blood-oxygen monitoring. Continuous measurements can help identify personal trends, but wrist-based optical sensors are affected by fit, movement, skin contact, tattoos and temperature. SpO₂ readings are particularly vulnerable to motion and poor contact. A single abnormal result should not be treated as a diagnosis.
Skin-temperature readings are best understood as relative trends, not a replacement for a thermometer. Sleep stages, stress and emotional-wellness scores are software estimates based on sensor data and algorithms, not clinical assessments.
HRV and recovery information
Heart-rate variability can provide useful context about changes in recovery, sleep or stress over time. It is not a definitive measure of fitness, illness or readiness, and day-to-day variation is normal. The same caution applies to sleep scores and recovery-related interpretations.
ECG availability
The hardware includes ECG capability, but whether you can use ECG analysis depends on Huawei’s regulatory rollout in your country. Huawei’s published support list includes numerous European, Asian and Latin American markets but does not list the United States.

The ECG feature is intended for users aged 18 and over, where available, and is for personal reference. It should not replace medical advice. Check Huawei’s current ECG region list before treating ECG as a reason to buy.
Battery life and charging
Huawei quotes up to 10 days of maximum battery life, up to seven days of typical use and up to four days with the always-on display enabled. A full charge takes about 60 minutes under Huawei’s stated conditions.
The seven-day figure is the more useful expectation for ordinary use. The maximum estimate includes specific laboratory assumptions, including continuous heart-rate monitoring, sleep tracking, 90 minutes of exercise per week, notifications and 200 screen activations per day. Frequent GPS workouts, calls, music playback, notifications and always-on display use will reduce endurance.
These figures should not be compared directly with another manufacturer’s maximum or typical-use claim unless the test conditions are similar.

Phone compatibility and Huawei Health
The watch requires Huawei Health for setup, syncing, health history, maps and some feature activation. Huawei lists support for HarmonyOS 2 or later, Android 8.0 or later and iOS 13.0 or later.
Compatibility does not mean identical functionality. Android and iPhone features can differ, some functions may require an OTA update, and Huawei notes limitations for 32-bit Android phones. Account-region settings can also affect golf maps and health services.
It does not offer the same established third-party app ecosystem as Apple Watch, Wear OS or some Garmin models. If apps, payments, music services, messaging and smart-home integration are your priorities, check the exact functions available on your phone before importing a regional model.
Review Huawei’s cross-platform compatibility information.
How it compares with the main alternatives
- Huawei Watch Fit 4: the cheaper internal alternative, but the Pro adds features such as ECG capability, dual-band GNSS, sapphire glass, a titanium bezel, golf tools and freediving support.
- Garmin: generally the stronger choice for structured training, endurance-sport workflows, advanced recovery analysis and deeper sports navigation.
- Apple Watch: the better fit for iPhone integration, apps, payments, messaging and safety features, but usually not for multi-day battery life or Android compatibility.
- Samsung Galaxy Watch: better suited to Android users who want Wear OS apps and Google services, while the Huawei model generally appeals more to buyers prioritising battery endurance and iPhone compatibility.
- Fitbit: a simpler option for activity, sleep and wellness tracking, but less suitable if golf, trail running, hiking or freediving tools are central.
Who should buy the Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro?
It is a strong fit if you want a slim, light watch with a bright durable display, long battery life and broad fitness coverage. It is especially interesting for hikers, trail runners, golfers and recreational freedivers who can use the relevant features in their region.
It is less suitable if you need a large third-party app ecosystem, deep iPhone integration, advanced structured training, certified scuba-diving functions or guaranteed ECG availability. US buyers who specifically want ECG should be particularly cautious.
Check these five things before buying
- Confirm whether ECG is available in your country.
- Search Huawei’s golf coverage for your local course.
- Check Huawei Health availability and feature support for your exact Android or iPhone model.
- Confirm whether a desired health feature requires an update or has regional restrictions.
- Buy the correct regional model from an officially supported seller and verify warranty coverage.
Verdict
The Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro is more than a conventional budget fitness tracker. Its dual-band GNSS, route tools, golf mapping, freediving modes, sapphire crystal and long battery life give it a distinctive position between mainstream smartwatches and dedicated sports watches.
But “Pro” should not be confused with professional medical, scuba-diving or expedition equipment. The best reason to buy it is the combination of lightweight design, outdoor features and multi-day endurance. The biggest reason to hesitate is Huawei’s regional and ecosystem dependence. Confirm availability first, and it can be a compelling choice for outdoor-minded Android and iPhone users.
