Huawei unveiled the Watch GT 6 and Watch GT 6 Pro globally on September 19, 2025—five days before their scheduled China debut on September 24. That was the order of the announcements, not a promise that the watches went on sale everywhere on September 19; local preorder and retail dates followed by market.
Global unveiling came five days before the China debut
Notebookcheck reported that Huawei held the GT 6 series’ global launch event on September 19, 2025, with the China debut scheduled for September 24. The sequence makes the “global first” description accurate for the unveiling, while leaving country-level sales dates as a separate matter. Notebookcheck’s report is the cited account of those dates.
Global launch did not mean simultaneous availability
Later regional announcements show how retail timing varied. Huawei Brazil said on October 1, 2025, that preorders had begun through named retailers and a Huawei pop-up store. Huawei Japan stated that the GT 6 Pro would go on sale there on October 14, 2025. Neither date establishes when the watches became available in other countries.
Brazil’s historical launch prices
For Brazil only, Huawei’s October 1, 2025 announcement listed suggested starting prices of R$1,999 for the WATCH GT 6 and R$2,499 for the Pro. Those are historical Brazil launch prices, not current prices or a worldwide recommended retail price. The announcement named Amazon among Brazil’s preorder channels, but that does not establish present stock or pricing. Huawei Brazil’s announcement

How the GT 6 and GT 6 Pro differ
Huawei Brazil’s 2025 announcement described three versions: the Pro, a 46 mm standard GT 6, and a 41 mm standard GT 6. It specified aerospace-grade titanium construction and up to 3,000 nits display brightness for the Pro; stainless steel for the 46 mm standard model; and a smaller, lighter design for the 41 mm standard model. Those are manufacturer descriptions, and buyers should check the specifications for their own region.
Huawei Japan’s Pro release describes a 46 mm case with sapphire glass, a titanium-alloy case and ceramic rear case. It lists 5 ATM and IP69 ratings and says the watch supports freediving to 40 metres under the stated standard. Huawei also highlights cycling, golf, hiking, skiing and running functions. These are manufacturer specifications and feature claims; regional support can vary. Huawei Japan’s GT 6 Pro release

GT 6 Pro battery estimates depend on the test scenario
Huawei Japan gives manufacturer laboratory estimates of approximately 21 days in typical use, 12 days in its heavy-use scenario, seven days with always-on display, or 40 hours of continuous GPS use. These are separate scenarios, not a single expected runtime; Huawei publishes test conditions, and actual battery life depends on settings, use, software and environment. TechRadar’s reviewer, after around two weeks with a Pro, reported about two weeks of battery life in that test. That is one reviewer’s experience, not a controlled estimate for every owner. The series was unveiled globally before its scheduled China debut, but buyers should use local retailer or Huawei listings to confirm current availability, price and supported features. The documented Brazil and Japan dates illustrate that an international announcement and a country’s actual sale date are not the same thing.
