The Hublot Big Bang Ferrari USA 60th Anniversary, reference 401.QX.0123.VR.FSX14, is a 60-piece limited edition with a 45 mm carbon-fiber case and a skeleton-dial UNICO flyback chronograph. Hublot unveiled it in Los Angeles on 11 October 2014, as Ferrari marked 60 years in North America. It is not a hands-on review. This page is built from Hublot’s 2014 release text, its official video and secondary watch references. It has no wrist-comfort, timing or tactile impressions, because none of those were established.
What this watch commemorates
Ferrari’s North American 60th anniversary is the occasion here. It is not Ferrari’s founding anniversary. Hublot’s official video, published 11 October 2014, says: “Ferrari’s USA 60th Anniversary celebration just started. Hublot pays tribute to this event with a Big Bang Unico Limited Edition dedicated to this event.”
The contemporary release, which names Hublot chairman Jean-Claude Biver in connection with the unveiling, says the red, white and blue palette references both the US flag and Ferrari. The reproduced text gives no verified direct quotation from Biver, so none is attributed to him here.

Why the flyback matters
The release says the chronograph can be reset at any time. That is the flyback function: one press restarts timing without stopping first. The column wheel and horizontal coupling are shown through the open dial, so the mechanism is part of the design.
Case size discrepancy
The release states 45 mm. A specialist reference database also gives a 45 mm case size, and it independently lists the HUB 1241 UNICO automatic movement, 72-hour reserve and 100 m water resistance. A separate secondary listing reports 45.5 mm. Treat 45 mm as the manufacturer-stated figure.

Design: carbon, color and straps
The carbon-fiber case and bezel give a dark base. The blue, red and white accents carry the American and Ferrari references. The blue Schedoni leather on black rubber is the strap detail the release highlights, and the second strap is part of the interchangeable pair. The release does not describe the second strap in detail, so it is not described here.

Haute Time’s 2014 article reported a launch price of $33,200 and repeated the 60-piece limit. That is a historical figure, not a current valuation.

The edition does not appear among the current models on Hublot’s US Big Bang collection page, and the current Big Bang Original range is not a substitute for it. A secondary retailer page recorded a used example as out of stock. No current inventory or fair-market price was verified. For a pre-owned example, ask a seller for the reference number, the edition number, and the box, papers and both straps. Compare asking prices across several sellers rather than anchoring on the 2014 price.
