Hublot’s Big Bang Ferrari is a Ferrari-themed development of the Big Bang Unico, with automotive design cues carried through its dial, case and controls. This is a reference-aware product overview, not a personal hands-on review: the available documentation describes the watches but does not establish that a specific reference was inspected. One documented example, the Grey Ceramic, is listed with a HUB 1241 movement, a 72-hour power reserve and 100-metre water resistance; those specifications should not be assumed for every Big Bang Ferrari.
What is the Hublot Big Bang Ferrari?
Hublot’s 2016 announcement says its collaboration with Ferrari began in 2011 and presents the Big Bang Ferrari as a redesign of the Big Bang Unico’s contours, drawing on Ferrari’s design language at the time. The watch is therefore more than a standard Big Bang with a logo: the brand describes Ferrari-inspired details across the display and case. Hublot’s announcement is the source for these design intentions.
How Ferrari cues appear in the design
Dial and counters
Hublot says the minute counter and date window at 3 o’clock were styled after a car tachometer and Ferrari speed dial. The Prancing Horse appears at 6 o’clock, while the seconds counter at 9 o’clock takes the form of an air extractor. The brand also describes redesigned hands intended to improve readability and floating indices. Those are stated design aims, not independently measured readability results.
Bezel, case and push-buttons
The release describes countersunk bezel notches around six screws, a red line on the case side recalling the rear groove of the LaFerrari, and elongated push-buttons inspired by pedals. The details translate automotive references into watch components, although the announcement does not provide independent ergonomic testing.
Movement and chronograph
Hublot’s 2016 release identifies a Manufacture Unico movement with a flyback chronograph and a column wheel positioned on the dial side. It also says the oscillating weight echoes Ferrari wheel-spoke design. The black-PVD-treated main plate, bridges and rotor are described as visible through the dial and sapphire caseback. These statements come from Hublot’s release and are not a complete specification sheet for every Ferrari-branded reference.
What the Grey Ceramic profile specifies
Fondation Haute Horlogerie describes two racing versions: black ceramic with Ferrari-red accents, and grey ceramic inspired by the historic North America Racing Team livery. Its Big Bang Ferrari Grey Ceramic profile lists these details for that specific profile:

The profile also describes a one-click strap-change system inspired by seat-belt attachments. It does not establish current replacement-strap stock or compatibility across other Big Bang Ferrari references. Likewise, the figures above belong to the Grey Ceramic profile; confirm the precise reference before applying them to another watch.
