The HYT H20 “Time Is Fluid” displays the hour with a moving boundary between colored and transparent liquids in a capillary. Its mechanical movement drives the system through flexible bellows; at 6 o’clock, the colored fluid retreats to its starting point in a cycle HYT calls a “rewind.” The documented editions were steel and 2N yellow gold, each limited to 20 pieces.
How the HYT H20’s fluid hour display works
A capillary runs between two flexible reservoirs, or bellows. The mechanical movement actuates the bellows, pushing colored liquid along the capillary against a transparent liquid. The point where the fluids meet—the meniscus—marks the current hour. HYT describes the colored fluid as the recent past and the transparent fluid as the forthcoming future, with their boundary representing the present. HYT explains the fluid display.
The colored fluid advances over the course of the day, then retreats to its starting position at 06:00. HYT calls this reset a “rewind”; it is part of the time display’s daily cycle, not a conventional jumping hour hand.

The H20 belongs to HYT’s H2.0 generation, which the brand’s timeline places in 2018. Steel and yellow-gold editions
Monochrome reports two case-material versions: steel and 2N yellow gold. Each was limited to 20 pieces. Its launch-era prices were CHF 115,000 for steel and CHF 125,000 for 2N yellow gold; these are historical figures, not current asking prices or valuations.
