The HYT H5 Blue Fluid, reference H02352, is a 2020 limited edition of 25 watches that tells the hours with blue and transparent liquids moving through a glass capillary. Its published launch price was EUR 55,000; that is a historical figure, not a verified current asking price.
What is the HYT H5 Blue Fluid?
Introduced in February 2020, the H5 Blue Fluid was a blue-liquid version of HYT’s H5, joining variants with green and black liquid. The reference is H02352, and production was limited to 25 pieces. Monochrome Watches’ 2020 introduction describes its layered transparent construction, which puts the fluid display and mechanical components on view.
The case combines stainless steel with highly domed sapphire crystal and a sapphire caseback. Grey sandblasted surfaces and a grey perforated rubber strap frame the blue fluid. HYT’s timeline places the H5 in 2020 and describes calibre 501 as developed by TEC Group; Monochrome also credits Eric Coudray as a collaborator in the calibre’s development and manufacture. How does the H5 display the hours?
Instead of a conventional central hour hand, the H5 uses two immiscible liquids inside a glass capillary. The colored blue liquid represents elapsed time and the transparent liquid represents time yet to come. Their boundary, called the meniscus, marks the present hour. The blue fluid is not itself luminous. Monochrome reports that a white Super-LumiNova strip beneath the capillary lights the tube from below. The hour track has 13 markers, with the 6 duplicated; minutes, running seconds and power reserve have separate indications.

These launch specifications are reported by Monochrome Watches and, for core details including dimensions and water resistance, are also listed by Europa Star. The case’s 48.8 mm diameter and 20.08 mm height make it a substantial watch; those measurements alone cannot establish how it will fit or feel on a particular wrist.

What does the EUR 55,000 price mean today?
EUR 55,000 is the price published when the watch was introduced in 2020. It should not be read as a current retail price, current market valuation or available seller quote. Current stock and transaction prices for H02352 have not been established here. Because it was a 25-piece edition, anyone considering a purchase should verify the specific watch, seller, condition and asking price directly rather than relying on launch pricing.

HYT’s manual says only a professional watchmaker approved by HYT can replace the fluidic system, and directs repairs and maintenance to approved HYT retailers or HYT customer service. It also warns that unauthorized repair or maintenance voids the guarantee. The manual describes a five-year guarantee against manufacturing defects for watches bought through an approved HYT retailer, subject to its exclusions and terms; confirm coverage for an individual watch with HYT or an approved retailer.

- Ask for service records and confirmation of who performed any work on the fluidic system.
- Do not assume that the original 50 m water-resistance rating applies to a pre-owned watch today. The manual recommends gasket replacement during authorized service and notes that temperature changes, moisture, perspiration and repeated impacts can affect water resistance over time.
- For a current water-resistance assessment or service, consult HYT or an approved retailer rather than relying on the watch’s original specification.
HYT’s manual attributes this description to then-CEO Grégory Dourde: “The HYT answer is a watch that overcomes the force of gravity to indicate the passage of time with liquids.” It is the brand’s characterization of the concept, not an independent engineering assessment.
