What the Time Is Money Concept is
IFL describes the watch as a Citizen Tsuyosa Automatic NJ015-series model customized with a hand-painted dial. The artwork turns the phrase “time is money” into a scene of coins, bills, gems and the passage of time. Fratello’s September 2024 launch coverage describes an hourglass, coins and gemstones at the dial’s base, with bills and coins moving away from it. IFL says no two dials are alike and limits the edition to 150 pieces worldwide.
The base reference is not consistently identified. IFL’s current product page names NJ0150-81L, while Fratello’s launch article says the watch began as a blue-dial NJ0150-56L. The sources do not explain the difference, so neither reference should be treated as a reconciled identification.
Specifications: current listing and launch coverage
IFL’s current product listing and Fratello’s September 2024 launch article differ on some specifications. The figures below retain each source’s attribution rather than treating the difference as settled.

IFL also says the package includes IFL packaging and warranty documentation, not the original manufacturer packaging. Technical figures are published by IFL Watches on its current listing and by Fratello Watches in its dated launch coverage.
Customization, brand relationship and warranty
IFL says it bought the watch at retail, then opened and modified it, changing or replacing its original dial. IFL describes itself as an independent customization studio and says the work is not performed, authorized, endorsed or affiliated with Citizen. The watch is therefore a third-party-customized Citizen, not an official Citizen limited edition or collaboration.

IFL states that Citizen’s manufacturer warranty does not apply after third-party modification. IFL lists its own two-year warranty covering dial installation, craftsmanship and functional performance. That is IFL’s warranty for its work and the watch’s stated function, not Citizen’s manufacturer warranty.
Launch price and current availability
Fratello reported a €890 launch price when it covered the 150-piece edition on September 9, 2024. IFL’s current US product page displays $890, marks the watch sold out and offers a waitlist option; it also says import duties and taxes are excluded. The listing does not establish whether any pieces are available through resale or whether a waitlist will result in a purchase.

What matters if you are considering one
- The appeal is the dial. The hand-painted money-and-time imagery makes this a visibly altered Tsuyosa, and IFL says every dial is individually unique.
- It is not interchangeable with a standard Tsuyosa. A regular Citizen Tsuyosa does not include IFL’s artwork or customization.
- Check which reference is being offered. IFL currently names NJ0150-81L; Fratello’s launch coverage identifies NJ0150-56L.
- Account for the independent modification. IFL, rather than Citizen, is the source of the stated two-year customization warranty.
- Read the listing for the specific piece. IFL’s published specifications and Fratello’s launch-era figures differ on power reserve and case thickness.
Fratello’s launch article framed the concept with the question, “Which is more precious to you — time or money?” The watch’s design makes that question literal; whether the custom dial and independent warranty are worth pursuing depends on the buyer, especially while IFL’s listing shows it as sold out.
