Ecce was Beaubleu’s first permanent watch collection, introduced in 2023 after three limited-edition series. Its original trio—Lys, Vesperal and Smalt—shares a design-led approach but differs in dial color, texture and case finish. Beaubleu’s current listing identifies the collection as automatic and starts at €990; several additional dimensions and features below come from launch coverage published in October 2023, not a current specification sheet.
Why the Ecce collection mattered to Beaubleu
Beaubleu says it began in 2017. Before Ecce, it released three limited collections: B01, Union and Vitruve. Ecce arrived in 2023 as the brand’s first permanent collection, making it a shift from limited series to an ongoing lineup. Beaubleu’s history article describes the collection as a new chapter in that progression.

The name remains attached to three models on the brand’s current permanent-collection page: Lys, Vesperal and Smalt. Beaubleu characterizes Ecce as a trilogy of dials that blends tradition and modernity; that is the manufacturer’s framing, rather than an independent design assessment. The Ecce collection page shows the current lineup.
How Lys, Vesperal and Smalt differ
The three original variants are distinguished chiefly by their appearance. The descriptions below reflect Beaubleu’s own product and history pages.

- 🌊【Deep Current】The navy dial mirrors the quiet strength of deep waters — timeless, enigmatic, and serene. With its silver bracelet, it reflects light like moonlight on waves. Designed to accompany moments of stillness, motion, and everything in between.
- 【Brilliant Lab-Grown Diamonds】31 mm case set with 0.132 ct total diamonds, 36 mm case with 0.154 ct, all D–F color and VVS–VS clarity. Keep your watch looking brilliant with 0% carbon emissions.
- 【Swiss Ronda 763 Quartz Movement】Premium Swiss three-hand quartz movement delivers precise, dependable timekeeping for everyday wear.
- 【Sapphire Crystal】Scratch-resistant sapphire glass protects the dial and preserves a crystal-clear view for lasting brilliance.
- 【Find Your Perfect Fit】 For the ideal balance of presence and comfort, we suggest the 31mm case if your wrist measures between 5.5"–6.3" (14–16 cm) — it offers a refined, elegant silhouette. If your wrist falls in the 6.3"–7.5" (16–19 cm) range, the 36mm case delivers a more substantial yet classic look. Both versions feature a sleek folding clasp with a push‑button release, and we include a precision screwdriver so you can resize the bracelet at home with ease.
| Model | Dial and color | Case or other visual detail |
|---|---|---|
| Lys | Warm tones and a grained dial, according to Beaubleu. | Rose-gold case; the brand’s current collection listing describes a gold-colored case. |
| Vesperal | Brushed, minimalist dial with beveling and a blue border. | Brushed silver appearance with blue accents. |
| Smalt | Blue dial with a double-embossed, pyramidal texture; Beaubleu says the shades change in appearance with the light. | Its textured blue dial is the most immediately distinctive element in the brand’s description. |
These distinctions can help narrow the choice by preferred color and surface treatment, but the sources do not establish that one is more legible or comfortable than another. A decision based on wearability would require an in-person comparison or reliable hands-on testing.
What the current Ecce listing says about movement, price and warranty
On its current Ecce permanent-collection page, Beaubleu specifies a Miyota 9015 Slim automatic movement, in-house regulation of -9/+9 seconds, a five-year warranty and prices starting at €990. Those are brand-published claims and terms; check the product listing and applicable warranty conditions for your location before buying. The current Ecce listing names Lys, Smalt and Vesperal.
Beaubleu says its watches are imagined and assembled in Paris. That wording does not establish that every component is French-made, and the brand page makes no component-origin claim. The collection page is the source for the Paris assembly description.
There is a warranty difference across Beaubleu pages: the Ecce-specific listing says five years, while the general all-watches page gives 36 months. Treat the Ecce-specific figure as the collection page’s stated term, not as a universal warranty; the terms attached to a specific purchase should govern.

Launch-era specifications and pricing
A MONOCHROME Watches article by Brice Goulard, dated 6 October 2023 and explicitly marked as sponsored by Beaubleu, reported the following launch specifications. They are useful context but should not be mistaken for a verified current specification sheet.
| Launch-reported item | Details reported in October 2023 |
|---|---|
| Case dimensions | 39 mm diameter, 9.5 mm height and 45 mm lug-to-lug |
| Case and crystal | Stainless steel, with a gold PVD option; sapphire crystal and see-through caseback |
| Water resistance | 50 m |
| Display and movement | Date at six o’clock; Miyota 9015 automatic movement; 42-hour power reserve |
| Launch pricing | €890 with a leather strap or €990 with steel mesh, as reported at launch |
The launch article also comments on the unusual round hands and offers an author’s impression that reading the time remained easy despite a less intuitive display. Because the piece is sponsored and does not present a formal readability test, that observation should be read as the author’s impression, not measured performance. Read the 6 October 2023 launch article at MONOCHROME Watches.
The launch-era €890 leather configuration is historical. Beaubleu’s current Ecce listing starts at €990; prices and included straps may vary by model, region and time.
What the available information can—and cannot—tell you about ownership
The product pages and launch coverage describe design and specifications, but they do not provide an independent owner survey or a firsthand wear test for this article. They therefore cannot establish a consensus on comfort, legibility in everyday use, reliability or long-term ownership. The most defensible comparison from the published information is visual: choose among warm gold-toned Lys, blue-bordered brushed Vesperal and textured blue Smalt, then confirm the current configuration, dimensions and terms with the seller.
Recommended Free Tools
Beaubleu’s history article attributes this statement to founder Nicolas Ducoudert Pham: “The watch becomes much more than a simple tool or accessory; it transforms into a real object of experience, where everyone is free to interpret it according to their own sensitivity.” It is published as a founder-attributed quotation in the brand’s own article, not independently recorded interview material.
