It combines a 42 mm steel case, a unidirectional timing bezel and a manufacturer-stated 30 bar/30 ATM water-resistance rating. Hanhart’s current product page lists a Soprod SOP P024 movement base; launch-era reports named a Sellita SW200-1, a discrepancy the available sources do not explain.
What makes the Aquasphere FreeFall Blue Hanhart’s first proper dive watch?
“First proper dive watch” is best understood as shorthand for Hanhart’s first model in a standalone dive-watch collection—not a claim that the company had never made a dive-oriented or highly water-resistant watch. The Aquasphere FreeFall Blue debuted in October 2024 as the opening model in the Aquasphere series. Monochrome’s launch coverage and Time and Watches’ report describe it as the first diver in the new collection.
Is it equipped like a dive watch?
Hanhart’s current English product listing specifies water resistance up to 30 bar/30 ATM according to DIN 8310. It also lists a counterclockwise-rotating bezel, screw-down crown and helium valve. These are the manufacturer’s stated specifications; the cited page does not establish a separate recreational- or technical-diving certification. Hanhart’s current product listing
The bezel has a blue ceramic insert with a red marking. Hanhart says its triangle, numerals and indices use Super-LumiNova C1. A helium valve is part of the case specification, but its presence alone should not be read as a guarantee of suitability for a particular dive or diving procedure.

That movement description differs from the October 2024 launch coverage: Monochrome and Time and Watches named a Sellita SW200-1 base. The available pages do not explain whether the difference reflects a later production change, a regional or version variation, or an earlier specification. For the watch as currently listed by Hanhart, the Soprod wording is the relevant present-tense specification; the Sellita reference belongs to launch-era reporting. Hanhart’s product page and the launch coverage report that freediver Fabio Tunno tested the watch to 110 metres. That is a reported test, not evidence of independent certification or a guarantee that an owner can safely dive to that depth. Hanhart · Time and Watches
