IWC’s George Russell collaboration is a pair of limited-edition Pilot’s Watches, not a single model: the three-hand Automatic 41 (IW328107) and the Chronograph 41 (IW389411). Both use black zirconium oxide ceramic cases, Russell-inspired blue details, titanium case backs engraved “63,” and blue rubber straps with IWC’s EasX-CHANGE system. The key choice is function: the Automatic adds a date and a stated 120-hour reserve, while the Chronograph adds stopwatch functions and has a stated 46-hour reserve.
What are George Russell’s IWC watches?
IWC announced the two watches on February 5, 2026, in collaboration with Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One driver George Russell. The references are the Pilot’s Watch Automatic 41 George Russell (IW328107) and Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 George Russell (IW389411). IWC describes both as limited editions. Its official UK listing gives the Automatic a run of 1,063 pieces; the announcement and cited product information do not establish an edition count for the Chronograph.
The design links the pair: black ceramic cases and dials, blue printing and luminescent details inspired by Russell’s helmet, and blue rubber straps. Both titanium case backs carry the engraved number 63, Russell’s racing number, according to IWC. The straps use IWC’s EasX-CHANGE system, which allows strap changes without tools; that does not establish compatibility with arbitrary third-party straps.

What do the materials and blue details mean?
IWC says it pioneered black zirconium oxide ceramic four decades ago, and describes the material as lighter than steel and highly scratch-resistant. These are the manufacturer’s material descriptions, not independent comparative test findings. On the Chronograph, IWC-developed Ceratanium is used for the crown and pushers; IWC says it combines titanium’s lightness with hardness and scratch resistance similar to ceramic.
The blue dial printing, lume and straps are the visible signature shared by the models, and IWC connects the color to Russell’s helmet and racing identity. In the official announcement, Russell said: “It has been an unforgettable experience working with IWC Schaffhausen’s creative team on the design of my first ever limited-edition watches.”
