Alpina added a 39mm version of its Alpiner Extreme Automatic in 2024, bringing the time-and-date model into a smaller case than the collection’s 41mm steel models. It measures 39mm across, 40.5mm long and 11.5mm high, and is rated to 200m water resistance. Three dial colors were listed: blue, dark green and beige, with the beige dial offered on either an integrated steel bracelet or a beige rubber strap.
What changed with the 39mm Alpiner Extreme Automatic?
The 39mm automatic time-and-date model followed a 39mm Alpiner Extreme Skeleton preview and joined the collection’s 41mm steel-case models. Its cushion-shaped, three-part stainless-steel case combines brushed and polished surfaces. A raised round bezel with six exposed screws frames the dial, while crown guards flank a screw-down crown with a rubber grip.
Published dimensions are 39mm in diameter, 40.5mm in length and 11.5mm in height. The watch has a convex scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, a see-through caseback and stated water resistance of 200m. These are launch specifications reported by Monochrome Watches on October 7, 2024; they are not independent test results.
Which dial colors and configurations were available?
The launch article lists three dial colors and four reference/configuration combinations. Blue and dark green are paired with integrated steel bracelets; beige is the only dial listed with a choice of bracelet or rubber strap.

- Harking back to its roots, this Alpiner Extreme Automatic features a radiant glacier-hued dial that strikes the perfect balance between blue and light grey, evoking the spirit of the mountains. Housed in a compact, cushion-shaped 39x40.5mm steel case, the timepiece exudes subtle and discreetly sporty elegance.
- Its beating heart is the self-winding AL-525 caliber boasting a 38-hour power reserve. Decorated with the triangular Alpine summit pattern, the dial displays the date at 3 o'clock and sports three hands.
- Like the hour markers, the hours and minutes hands come with a luminous coating to ensure optimum readability even in the dark, and the crown at 3 o'clock is fitted with a rubber grip, making it very easy to get hold of.
- Meanwhile the dial, the seconds hand counterweight, the crown and the bezel screws all feature a perfect triangle a nod to Alpinas logo symbolizing the snow-capped Alpine summits.
- Water resistant to 200M.
