What is the aBlogtoWatch Store?
aBlogtoWatch introduced the store on September 8, 2021, describing it as “a gift store for watch lovers.” The idea was to offer products shaped by the team’s interest in watches: compact travel gear, horology-inspired apparel and collector artwork. The launch announcement said the store would not sell complete watches; it was intended to complement the publication’s watch coverage and purchasing guidance. Read the launch announcement.
The launch article describes the products as bespoke designs developed by the aBlogtoWatch team with suppliers chosen for their respective trades. Those material and design descriptions are the store’s own account, not independent product testing.
What products were in the launch collection?
Tweed watch pouches
The team said it selected three traditional English tweeds from Holland & Sherry: Harris, Moorland and Sherry. It also described experimenting with padding, patterns, lining fabrics, leather bank-card holders and watch pads. The stated purpose was compact carry in a pocket or backpack, with padding intended to help protect bracelet-equipped watches from scratches and bumps. Luminous T-shirts
The launch announcement says the shirts used 100% OCS-certified ring-spun cotton and were printed at a local workshop with luminescent paint from Italy. It recommended charging the glow effect with direct sunlight. These are descriptions of the launch product, not a guarantee about current shirt stock or specifications.
Horological artwork
The store collaborated with watch artist Tamás Fehér. According to the announcement, his drawings were made entirely by hand and then printed using digitalization techniques on Bockingford 300g paper from St Cuthberts Mill. The article said each drawing took Fehér 7 to 14 days to complete; that is a 2021 description of drawing time, not a current production or delivery estimate.
