Its warm orange dial and black details give the compact Metro design a distinctive look, while the in-house DUW 3001 supplies the mechanics. This is reference 1106.S1—not the larger 38.5 mm orange reference 1113.S1.
What makes the Ace × NOMOS Metro Neomatik Orange different?
Reference 1106.S1 was created by NOMOS Glashütte with Amsterdam retailer Ace Jewelers. NOMOS says 50 pieces of this special version were produced, with the limitation engraving on the case back identifying the edition.
The watch applies the Metro family’s wire-lug case and domed sapphire crystal to a 35 mm format, then sets them against an orange dial. NOMOS describes the color as warm brick-orange, with two orange tones, black dial printing and black oxidized hands. The manufacturer says the dark details emphasize a drafting-instrument look.
Ace’s Metro collection page credits the family’s design to Berlin-based designer Mark Braun and dates its introduction to March 2014. Automatic neomatik versions were added later.

The display back reveals the movement. The 3 atm rating should not be read as a swimming or diving specification.
Do not confuse it with the 38.5 mm orange Metro
NOMOS also makes an orange Metro neomatik, reference 1113.S1. It is a separate, larger model: Fratello lists its diameter at 38.5 mm and its water resistance at 5 atm. Those figures do not apply to the 35 mm 1106.S1. For a careful comparison, check the two watches’ dimensions, water-resistance ratings, prices on the same currency and tax basis, and current availability.

Price and availability
Prices vary by market and tax treatment. The NOMOS US product page displayed USD 4,570, while Ace’s listing showed EUR 2,942 excluding VAT; these are not like-for-like prices. Stock, taxes, delivery timing and local pricing can change, so consult the current listing for your region. Any retailer inventory snapshot should not be taken to mean that all 50 watches remain available.
