What “case in case” means
Minase describes its case-in-case design as an inner assembly that encloses the movement and appears to float within the outer case. The inner top container also forms the dial structure. This is the brand’s explanation of the architecture, not a claim that the design makes a watch more accurate or durable.
What MORE does—and does not promise
Minase says its MORE concept allows exterior components, including the case and bracelet, to be assembled and disassembled for refitting or repair. That describes a design intention. The available information does not establish typical repair outcomes, service costs or a guarantee of easier servicing.

Which Minase should you choose?
The Divido is a sensible model to investigate if the case architecture and finishing are what draw you to Minase. The Divido Urushi is worth comparing if you want a lacquer dial; Worn & Wound reviewed that variant in 2022. Minase’s Windows Hakose Urushi offers a concrete example of the brand’s other design and specification choices, but it is a separate model, not a Divido specification sheet.

What movement and water resistance does a Minase have?
Minase says its watches use Swiss mechanical movements, but caliber and specifications vary by model. For example, the official Windows Hakose Urushi page identifies an ETA 2892A2-based execution with 21 jewels, 4 Hz frequency and a stated 50-hour power reserve; it lists 50 m water resistance for that model. Those figures should not be transferred to the Divido or treated as universal Minase specifications.
For a particular watch, confirm the exact caliber, reserve, water-resistance rating and configuration on its current product listing. A model’s published water-resistance figure is not, by itself, a description of its suitability for every water activity.

What are the practical dimensions and strap options?
The cited dimensions—38 × 47 mm, 13 mm thick and 160 g—belong to the listed Windows Hakose Urushi, not the Divido. Minase’s page describes leather straps and steel bracelets, but compatibility and fit depend on the specific model and configuration. Check the listing for the watch you are considering, particularly if you plan to change its strap or bracelet.
For wrist comfort, the case’s length across the wrist, thickness and weight can matter as much as nominal diameter. If possible, try the exact configuration on wrist; a polished, angular case can wear differently from a simpler case with similar stated dimensions.

What do reviewers and owners say about the Divido?
Independent accounts provide useful individual perspectives, but they are not interchangeable and do not establish what every owner will experience.
- Beans & Bezels says its reviewer bought a pre-owned Divido and wore it for a year before writing. That is an owner’s account of one watch over a defined period, not a reliability survey.
- CWhatWatch published a long-term owner account in 2025, describing nearly three years of ownership. It remains an individual experience.
- Worn & Wound published an independent review of the Divido Urushi in 2022. It concerns that variant and reflects editorial review, not a broad ownership sample.
Read these accounts for impressions of design and lived use, then verify specifications, warranty terms and service arrangements with Minase or the seller. They cannot establish population-wide reliability, resale performance or repair costs.

- After-sales support: ask who handles warranty work, routine service and repairs, and what costs or shipping arrangements apply. MORE is a design concept, not evidence of a particular service price or outcome.
