The Andersen Genève Communication 45 is a 38 mm worldtimer created for the Geneva atelier’s 45th anniversary. Its slim profile, city-and-24-hour display and hand-finished BlueGold dial revisit the Communication worldtimer first introduced in 1990. The yellow-gold edition is limited to 45 watches; Andersen Genève also lists a platinum edition for 2026.
Why the Communication 45 matters
Andersen Genève was founded in 1980 by watchmaker Svend Andersen. The anniversary watch takes its name from the Communication series, which began with a subscription-based worldtimer in 1990 and later became the brand’s first serially produced watch. The 2025 Communication 45 is therefore both an anniversary model and a revival of a design tied to the atelier’s early history. Andersen Genève’s history and the GPHG listing describe that lineage.
Worldtimers are a signature of the brand. Andersen Genève situates its approach in the tradition of Louis Cottier’s heures universelles, with multiple time zones displayed simultaneously. Its Worldtimer Collection describes an ultra-slim module made in its Geneva atelier, cases hand-crafted in La Chaux-de-Fonds and dials made with Swiss artisans. Those are the maker’s descriptions of its work.
How the worldtime display works
The Communication 45 combines a city ring with a rotating 24-hour indication. Read local hours and minutes from the hands at the centre; use the city names and corresponding position on the 24-hour ring to compare time around the world. The official product page describes a newly designed city-name font and a two-tone ring: night numerals are embossed, while day numerals are recessed. The display provides a compact way to follow world time, though the available product information does not establish comparative legibility or operating performance against other worldtimers.

The centre dial is 21-carat BlueGold, decorated with a wave-like tapisserie-guilloché pattern. For the yellow-gold version, the brand says the BlueGold is kiln-fired in its Geneva atelier to create a cognac tone. It describes cutting the landmasses into the dial through a multistage process and filling them with gold. The result is a map motif integrated into the dial rather than simply printed on its surface. These process details are the maker’s account.
Colour depends on the case edition: yellow gold pairs with cognac-toned BlueGold, while the platinum model uses deep blue. The brand’s Communication 45 product page presents the dial variations and construction details.

Price and availability
The reported launch price for the yellow-gold version is CHF 49,800, but published sources disagree on the tax basis: GPHG labels that figure as including VAT, while Monochrome’s 2025 launch coverage gives CHF 49,800 excluding taxes. Confirm the current price and applicable taxes with Andersen Genève or a seller before making a purchase decision. Monochrome’s expectation of deliveries in Q1 2026 was a launch-era forecast, not confirmation of present availability.

Current inventory and authorised-seller stock are not established by the cited listings. The brand’s official product and collection pages are the clearest starting points for an availability enquiry.
