The A. Lange & Söhne 1815 TOURBILLON reference 730.094F pairs a 950 platinum case with a jet-black grand-feu enamel dial and a tourbillon visible at six o’clock. Limited to 50 watches, it is distinguished not only by its dial but by a stop-seconds device and ZERO-RESET function that help the wearer set the time precisely.
What is different about reference 730.094F?
Reference 730.094F is the 1815 TOURBILLON in 950 platinum with a jet-black grand-feu enamel dial. A tourbillon aperture at six o’clock reveals the rotating mechanism, while Arabic numerals and a peripheral railway-track minute scale provide the familiar 1815 layout. A. Lange & Söhne announced this edition in 2025 and limits it to 50 watches. The manufacturer’s model page identifies the reference and edition.
The black-dial version is not the only platinum 1815 TOURBILLON. The range also includes a white-enamel platinum version, as well as a pink-gold model with an argenté-coloured dial:

The manufacturer’s account traces the 1815 TOURBILLON to its 2014 debut, followed by a 2015 HANDWERKSKUNST edition and the platinum white-enamel version in 2018. The black-enamel reference is the family’s 2025 addition. The 2025 announcement gives that history.

How do the tourbillon and ZERO-RESET work?
A. Lange & Söhne describes the tourbillon as continually changing the balance’s position to compensate for gravity’s influence on the oscillating system. That is the manufacturer’s explanation of the mechanism; it is not a claim of independently measured timing performance.
The L102.1 calibre adds two setting functions. Pulling the crown stops the movement and the tourbillon; the seconds hand then jumps to zero. With the seconds hand at zero, the wearer can align it with the minute markers while setting the time. The stop-seconds mechanism and ZERO-RESET work together: one halts the mechanism, while the other gives the seconds hand a clear reference point. The watch’s precision-setting benefit is a manufacturer claim, not an independent test result.

What are the movement and case specifications?
The L102.1 is a manufacture calibre visible through the sapphire-crystal caseback. The official 2025 announcement specifies a 39.5 mm case diameter and 11.3 mm height. It reports a 72-hour power reserve and a frequency of 21,600 semi-oscillations per hour.

How is the black enamel dial made?
The black dial is built on a white-gold base. A. Lange & Söhne says its in-house process involves preparing the base, crushing and applying enamel pigments, firing the dial multiple times and treating the surface. The circular opening for the tourbillon is chamfered by hand to help avoid damaging the enamel.
The 2025 release says a single enamel dial involves more than 100 individual procedures and takes several weeks to complete. Those are manufacturer-reported production details, rather than independently audited figures. The release does not state an exact layer count for this particular dial.

The finish extends beyond the dial: Lange highlights black-polished components on the tourbillon bridge and cage, along with hand-finished acute internal angles on the cage. The manufacturer’s announcement describes the reference-specific dial process and finishing.
