Angelus introduced the Chronographe Télémètre at Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025 as a limited-edition, hand-wound monopusher chronograph in steel and 18-carat yellow gold. Its telemeter scale turns the chronograph’s elapsed time between seeing an event and hearing its sound into an estimated distance.
What is a telemeter watch?
A telemeter watch is a chronograph with a scale for estimating distance from a sound-producing event. Because light reaches an observer effectively before sound does over ordinary viewing distances, the wearer starts the chronograph when the event is seen and stops it when its sound is heard. The elapsed interval can then be read against the telemeter scale. Angelus calibrates this watch’s scale to 20 km; the result is an estimate, not a precision surveying instrument. How does the Chronographe Télémètre work?
- When you see the event—such as a flash—start the chronograph.
- Stop it when the sound associated with that event reaches you.
- Read the elapsed interval on the telemeter scale to estimate the event’s distance, within the scale’s 20 km calibration.
The chronograph is a monopusher: a single pusher controls its timing function. Angelus’s official product pages describe the A5000 movement as using a column wheel and horizontal clutch.

Which versions were introduced in 2025?
Watches and Wonders Geneva’s 2025 Angelus listing describes two steel sets of 25 watches each, plus 15 watches in 18-carat yellow gold. The named original variants include Steel Grey, Steel Rose and Yellow Gold White. The official pages identify a 25-piece limit for Steel Grey and a 15-piece limit for Yellow Gold White. What changed after the original launch?
Angelus also lists a Blu Ministeriale steel Chronographe Télémètre, reference 0CHCS.U02A.C1526S, as a later version following the original. Its page gives a 37 mm steel case, A5000 calibre and a price of €22,700 including VAT on the page accessed in 2026. That figure applies to this later variant, not the original 2025 launch editions. The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève’s official 2025 results list the Angelus Chronographe Télémètre Yellow Gold as the Chronograph Watch Prize winner. GPHG 2025 official results. The exact present-day price or availability of the original Steel Grey, Steel Rose and Yellow Gold White launch editions has not been verified.
