These are two green-dial automatic PRX watches with different proportions and purposes. The mint-green Powermatic 80 cited here is the 35 mm, time-and-date model (reference T1372071109100); Tissot also describes a 40 mm mint automatic. The green PRX Automatic Chronograph is a 42 mm watch with stopwatch counters (reference T1374271109100). Tissot’s US product page calls the chronograph dial green, but does not confirm “green gradient” as its official color name.

Specifications and references are from Tissot’s 35 mm green Powermatic 80 listing and green Automatic Chronograph listing. The 40 mm mint option is described in Tissot’s regional PRX news material.
What is the difference in size?
The chronograph is 7 mm wider than the cited 35 mm mint automatic and 3.61 mm thicker. That makes it the more substantial option on the wrist, with the added dial space needed for its counters. The comparison changes if you are considering the 40 mm mint model: the 42 mm chronograph is then 2 mm wider, though it remains thicker at 14.54 mm versus the 35 mm listing’s 10.93 mm. Tissot’s cited news page confirms a 40 mm mint variant but does not provide its thickness in the material referenced here.
Time-and-date simplicity or chronograph functions?
Powermatic 80 Mint Green
The 35 mm model is the simpler daily-wear choice: an automatic movement with time and date, without chronograph counters. Tissot lists an 80-hour power reserve, a Nivachron balance spring, and 100 m water resistance. Its product page also specifies a 316L stainless-steel case, sapphire crystal, and quick-release/interchangeable steel bracelet.

PRX Automatic Chronograph Green
The 42 mm model uses the automatic Valjoux A05.H31 chronograph. Tissot’s US listing gives a 68-hour reserve and specifies the date along with chronograph functions for 12 hours, 30 minutes, and 60 seconds. It also lists a 316L stainless-steel case, sapphire crystal, 100 m water resistance, and interchangeable steel bracelet.
There is a difference between Tissot’s current model listing and its launch-era pressroom copy: the launch page described a 60-hour reserve in general copy, while the current product-specific US page lists 68 hours for reference T1374271109100. For this exact model reference, the current listing is the more specific figure. The historical wording appears on Tissot’s PRX Chrono launch page.

Is the chronograph dial officially “green gradient”?
Tissot’s US product page identifies reference T1374271109100 as a green-dial PRX Automatic Chronograph, but its written specifications do not call the dial “green gradient.” Treat “PRX Chronograph Green Gradient” as a descriptive or seller-used phrase unless the exact regional listing or product imagery for the watch being sold confirms that finish. The mint automatic is likewise called green on its US product page; Tissot’s regional news material uses the more specific phrase “mint green.”
Which one should you choose?
- Choose the 35 mm Mint Green Powermatic 80 if you want the smaller, thinner PRX, an 80-hour listed reserve, and a straightforward automatic time-and-date display.
- Consider the 40 mm mint automatic if you want the mint model in a larger size; Tissot’s regional news material confirms that size exists, but verify the exact regional reference and specifications.
- Choose the 42 mm Green Automatic Chronograph if you want stopwatch functionality and prefer the larger, thicker case.
What to check before buying
Green dial wording can refer to more than one PRX configuration. Match the reference, case size, and dial variant to the exact watch offered: T1372071109100 is the cited 35 mm mint Powermatic 80, while T1374271109100 is the cited 42 mm green Automatic Chronograph. Check the seller’s actual photographs and the relevant regional Tissot listing rather than relying on a broad “green PRX” description. The bracelet reference for the cited 35 mm mint model is T605047605; do not assume it fits a different case size.
