The Argon SpaceOne pairs a spacecraft-inspired case with an unusual three-disc time display: seconds in the center, hours on a jumping middle disc and minutes around the outside. Independent watchmaker Théo Auffret and watch entrepreneur Guillaume Laidet introduced it through a four-week Kickstarter campaign in May 2023. That campaign has ended; the brand’s current collection page lists its original Jumping Hour models as sold out.
How the SpaceOne’s jumping hour works
Instead of hands on a conventional dial, the SpaceOne shows time on three concentric discs. The central disc displays seconds, the middle disc displays hours, and the outer display shows minutes. Seconds and minutes progress continuously; the hour disc advances in a discrete jump once per hour.
That jumping action comes from a nine-part module developed by Auffret for the automatic Soprod P024 base movement. Monochrome’s 2023 launch report and SpaceOne’s brand description both identify the module as Auffret’s work.
A cockpit-like case and three original materials
The curved sapphire viewing area and side display give the watch its spacecraft-like appearance. Monochrome’s launch account describes a lateral crown and a titanium caseback with a see-through window. The original range included stainless steel, titanium and forged carbon; the launch report specified polished and brushed steel, blue-coated titanium, and limited brushed-titanium and forged-carbon variants.

SpaceOne describes the project as a collaboration between Auffret, an independent watchmaker, and Laidet, a watch entrepreneur. The brand says components are manufactured in Switzerland and assembly takes place in France.

Published water-resistance figures do not match
SpaceOne’s current specifications give a 3 ATM rating, while Monochrome reported 50 m in its May 2023 launch article. Those are conflicting published figures; the available information does not establish why they differ. No independent water-resistance test is cited here, so the discrepancy should not be treated as a resolved technical distinction.

Kickstarter launch prices and current availability
Monochrome reported that the watch launched on Kickstarter on 11 May 2023 in a four-week campaign. The reported launch prices were €1,500 for steel and €1,900 for titanium or forged carbon. The same report described brushed titanium and forged carbon as limited to 100 pieces each and estimated delivery for December 2023. These were campaign-era prices, edition terms and delivery estimates, not current offers or guarantees.
As checked on 8 October 2026, SpaceOne’s official collection page marks its listed brushed and polished stainless-steel Jumping Hour models sold out. That storefront status does not establish whether a later restock, resale listing or other seller has stock.
