The Armin Strom Tribute² Aurum (reference ST25-TRI.2E) is a 10-piece limited edition built around a hand-finished, gold-coated tremblage mainplate. It pairs that openworked display with a grey fumé off-center dial, a 38 mm stainless-steel case and the hand-wound AMW21 movement, which has a manufacturer-stated 100-hour power reserve. Armin Strom’s product page listed the watch at $36,000 and marked it out of stock when consulted; that listing is not confirmation of a current transaction price or retailer availability.
What is the Armin Strom Tribute² Aurum?
The Tribute² Aurum is a limited-edition mechanical watch from Armin Strom, identified by reference ST25-TRI.2E. The brand presents it as a more openworked and skeletonised expression of the Tribute line. Its visual centrepiece is a brass mainplate coated in gold and finished by hand with tremblage, a technique that gives the surface an irregular, light-catching texture.

The gold is on the mainplate, not the case: the published case material is stainless steel. The dial is grey fumé and positioned off-centre, leaving more of the movement visible around it.
How is the movement and finishing executed?
Inside is the AMW21, a hand-wound movement with a stated 100-hour power reserve and a frequency of 25,200 vibrations per hour, or 3.5 Hz. Armin Strom attributes the reserve to a motor-barrel layout. The visible architecture includes a skeletonised motor barrel, hand-polished bevelled spokes and a black-polished, bevelled steel finger bridge.

On the reverse, the manufacturer lists Geneva stripes, circular graining, a hand-polished 60-degree bevel and a three-dimensional escapement-wheel bridge. The brand also says each watch is assembled twice. These construction and finishing details are manufacturer descriptions, rather than independently verified assessments.

How much does it cost, and is it available?
Armin Strom’s official product page displayed a price of $36,000 and an “Out of stock” status when consulted. The page does not establish a confirmed sale price, local tax basis or current offer from an authorised retailer, and displayed price and inventory can change. Check the manufacturer’s listing for its current status before making a purchase decision.
What makes the Aurum edition distinctive?
The defining feature is the contrast between the warm, textured gold-coated mainplate and the grey fumé dial, alongside the openworked movement components. Armin Strom’s 15 January 2026 press release describes the mainplate as “A gold coated mainplate, crafted from brass and finished by hand with the rare tremblage technique, sets the stage with a rich texture and depth.” That is the brand’s promotional description of its finishing.
