Commissioned by Mr. Cyrus Z, it combines an openworked, hand-skeletonized caliber 4302 with an ice-blue dial and a two-part bezel in forged carbon and grade 5 titanium. Its price was kept private.
What is the Artisans de Genève Cyano?
Cyano is a bespoke personalization of an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, commissioned by Mr. Cyrus Z. The atelier describes the project as a record of its know-how and says it was made for private use; it is not presented as a production model available to buy. Fratello identified the base watch as a 41 mm Royal Oak reference 15500, while the atelier’s project page labels it “15 500 Audemars Piguet® Royal Oak®.” Artisans de Genève’s project page and Fratello’s January 27, 2024 report document the commission.
The project began with the client’s sketches and ideas, which he and the atelier refined together. His initial request was to open the watch so its movement could be seen. The workshop says about a dozen sketches preceded the hand-skeletonization of the caliber 4302. Mr. Cyrus Z described the watch as a reflection of his personal story, connecting its details with his father and daughter.
What changed on the Royal Oak?
Openworked caliber 4302
The original caliber 4302 was modified and skeletonized to make the movement a visual focus. According to the atelier, it hand-beveled, rounded and polished the movement, including 17 inner bevels and eight rounded-off angles. These are the workshop’s descriptions of its process, not independently tested findings about performance or finishing.

Ice-blue openworked dial
The dial is openworked to reveal the movement, finished in ice blue and circular-grained, and described by the atelier as encircled and angled. The official specification also lists hand engraving on the dial.
Two-part carbon-and-titanium bezel
The personalized bezel combines a 26-ply forged-carbon component with a grade 5 titanium component. The workshop says this construction preserves water resistance and functionality; that claim is its own description, not an independent test result.

Hands, indexes and balance bridge
The atelier says it refined, beveled, diamond-polished and flame-blued the hands. The indexes are diamond-polished and hand satin-finished. A balance bridge shaped from hardened steel received hand beveling, rounding and mirror polishing, according to the project page.
How much does the Cyano cost, and can you order one?
No price for Cyano is published. Fratello reported that the commission’s cost remained private between the client and the atelier, so there is no reliable public figure or estimate to give. Artisans de Genève says it does not sell watches and is not affiliated with or authorized by Audemars Piguet. It invites owners to contact an advisor about a personalization project, but says its capacity is limited; that invitation does not mean this exact Cyano can be ordered.

What should an owner know before commissioning a personalization?
The atelier’s published terms say that modifications void the original manufacturer’s warranty and that its own five-year international warranty applies to the customized watch. They also specify that a customer must send the watch within five weeks of order confirmation; if it arrives later, the service price increases by 10%. Because terms can change, confirm the current conditions directly before committing to a new project. The atelier says its personalizations are for the customer’s personal and private use, excluding resale.
Cyano is best understood as a client-specific commission: the 15500 supplied the starting point, while the openworked movement, blue detailing and carbon-and-titanium bezel express this client’s brief. Its documented specifications explain the design, but do not establish independent results for accuracy, durability or water resistance.
