Fratello Watches reported a 250-piece run and a launch price of €825 excluding taxes. Its most unusual feature is an NFC-enabled sapphire crystal intended to connect the watch to space-related digital content.
What is the Awake Mission to Earth Meatball?
It is the fourth watch in Awake’s Mission to Earth line, according to Fratello Watches’ launch article dated June 30, 2023. The design uses the blue and red colors associated with NASA’s logo and incorporates details drawn from spaceflight imagery. Fratello reported that production was limited to 250 watches. Its €825 launch price excluded taxes; that historical figure does not establish today’s price or availability.

How the design references NASA and spaceflight
The matte blue dial and red chapter ring echo the NASA “meatball” logo. The dial center is sandblasted to reduce glare, while the applied indices are described as recalling the observation windows of the International Space Station. Texture on the outer dial evokes Lunar Rover tracks, and the watch includes a launch-countdown motif and an engraved serial number.

What the NFC crystal is meant to do
The NFC technology is integrated into the sapphire crystal. Fratello’s launch article describes tapping a smartphone to the watch to access Awake Observatory and Eyes On Asteroids content. Observatory was presented as offering NASA camera imagery from the ISS; Eyes On Asteroids as an immersive asteroid-tracking experience. The article does not establish whether either service remains available today, so a prospective buyer should verify that the NFC functions and linked content still work.

Vesta fragment and buying considerations
Fratello reported that each watch came with a fragment from asteroid Vesta. That is a launch-article claim; provenance documentation was not independently reviewed. For a secondhand example, check whether the fragment and any supporting documentation are present rather than assuming they accompany every listing.
Because this was a limited 2023 release, the launch price is not a reliable measure of a current asking price. Evaluate an individual listing on its own merits:
