AWAKE’s 2025 Sơn Mài Silver Leaf Jurassic Watch release pairs two limited editions inspired by Jurassic Park: the orange T-Rex and green Raptors. Both combine hand-finished Vietnamese lacquer and silver-leaf dials with a 39 mm recycled-steel case and a La Joux-Perret automatic movement. The editions differ in color, claw-mark design and the quotation on the caseback’s movement ring.
Two Jurassic Park-inspired editions
AWAKE presented the pair in April 2025 as the first release in its “A Tribute to the Seventh Art” project. The design references the film through claw marks on the dials and a jungle motif on the caseback and movement ring. AWAKE founder Lilian Thibault described the intention as “Jurassic Watch was imagined with a single goal in mind: delivering a shot of reminiscence and nostalgia. A project that doesn’t take itself too seriously, but executed in the most serious way possible”.

The 50-piece figure is the announced production limit for each edition; it does not indicate how many watches have sold or whether either version remains available.
A lacquer dial finished with silver leaf
The dials use Vietnamese Sơn Mài lacquer, natural pigments and pure silver leaf gilding. They are described as handcrafted, giving each watch a material-focused dial treatment beneath the distinctive orange or green finish. The strap announced with the watches is made from scaled salmon leather by Ictyos.

The published 20 mm lug width is useful when looking for a replacement strap, but it does not confirm that every 20 mm strap will fit correctly. Check the strap’s end shape and buckle compatibility before buying.

Monochrome Watches reported an April 2025 launch price of EUR 2,075 before taxes for each edition. Watch LIFE NEWS reported a Japanese price of ¥451,000 per edition on June 21, 2025. These are dated launch-era and regional figures, not verified current prices. Current stock and an active retailer listing have not been confirmed.
