Amalfi Series 2 is a trio of limited-edition driver’s watches pairing car-themed enamel dials with a two-piece ceramic case that rotates through 90 degrees. Each design depicts a different automotive icon: a Land Rover Defender, a Porsche 911 or a Lancia Stratos. The collection was created with automotive illustrator Guy Allen.
Three designs, three cars
The watches share their case, movement and core specifications. Their main distinction is the car illustration and the dial’s palette and theme.
| Model | Car depicted |
|---|---|
| Amazon | Land Rover Defender |
| Sahara | Porsche 911 |
| Turini | Lancia Stratos |
The names and depicted cars are identified by De Rijke & Co. and in launch coverage from Hodinkee and Monochrome Watches.
How the rotating case is meant to work
De Rijke & Co. describes the Amalfi as a watch conceived for drivers. Its two-piece case rotates through 90 degrees so the wearer can turn the dial toward themselves while operating a car’s controls. That is the maker’s design rationale, not evidence of a safety test or proof that checking the watch while driving is safe. The company says the collection is aimed at classic-car drivers and locates its atelier in Dordrecht, the Netherlands; see its About page.

Ceramic case, engraved silver and enamel
The Series 2 uses a fully ceramic, two-piece case. For the dial, a 925 silver base receives engraved detail beneath transparent grand feu enamel. The lower portion adds sculptural engraving with varying depths, giving the illustration more dimensional relief. De Rijke & Co. says it makes the silver dials in-house, while a specialist craftsman in the UK carries out the enamel work; caseback engraving, hand finishing and assembly take place at the brand’s atelier. These are the manufacturer’s descriptions of its process, not independent assessments of durability or finishing.
The collaboration also continues an earlier automotive-themed chapter: De Rijke & Co. says its work with Guy Allen has spanned eight years and that the preceding Amalfi special-edition trio was called Land, Sea and Air. That history is company-provided. Allen’s watch illustrations are shown on his Watches page.

What stands out about Series 2
The defining idea is not simply a car image on a dial: it is the combination of automotive illustration, layered enamel work and a case designed to rotate toward the wearer. The three versions otherwise share the published specifications, making the choice primarily one of which car and dial treatment appeals most. Published specifications describe the product, but the available sources do not establish independent durability testing or measured driving-safety benefits.
